ZAKIR NAIK on Tablighi Jamaat facts and Truth

Assalam o AlaikumWa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,

The immediate factor for this posting is a video clip of Dr. Zakir Naik talk on you tube related with Tablighi Jammat at meeting of Park Circus Maidan.
but before coming to the video comment .........Few words for Request to all Muslims........

 Some words of Request and Clarification.........
(Below lines upto green line in bold Italic underlined are not related with.... Dr zakir Naik or Tablighi jamaat .or any comment........video.....rather it is a general words of introspection for all muslims ........not related with original discussion......
1. All worker of deen who are working in different field of Dawah Taleem and Tazkiya for helping mankind to be on right path for entering into Pradise should be respected and appreciated. 
2.  It is necessary for all dawah worker in different field with different methodology   to do the work with Ikhlas (Sincerity) and Istakhlas for sake of Allah and deen e Muhammadi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
3.We should propagate the Dawah of Islam Quran and sunnah and core of deen and not for any Maslak/Mazhab/Fiqh jurisprudence/Sect/subideology/Group/Organisation. 
4.Famous Hadith of Jibraeel Alaihissalam in Bukhari and Muslim shareef has outlined  Islam Emaan and Ihsan and beloved prophet PBUH finally told that he was Jibraeel who came to teach your religion. 
3. Mufti Taqi Usmani Damat Barkatuhum in one of his talk on you tube has said that it is common disease of us that whosoever does work of Deen in one field unfortunately try to prove that I/my field is only important and rest all field are of no use.....(In his word KALADAM QARAR DETA HAI) 

So........WHOSOEVER Weather Tablighi Jamaat worker /IRF (Dr.Zakir Naik) / Jmaat e Islami workers /Madarsas /Khanqah /Islamic School/ Muslim Non Governmental Organisation  ...............whosoever has this attitude is wrong and in urgent need of correction.

4. Actually Iblees/Satan is responsible for this.He is keeping away us from Positive Dawah.On each front of Islam so much work is remaining.But Iblees has involved us in criticising each others/Leg pulling/ Pointing mistakes in others.

Critism should be with deep knowledge ,clear heart and intention(WASEE ILM aur PAK QULOOB) for the purpose of correction. 

4. Sheikh Maulana Abul Hasan Ali Nadvi Rahimullah has written at length on this aspect of Muslim organisation and Scholars and has suggested ways for correction in his book Tabligh e deen ka ek Usool in Urdu. 

When Ghair Muqallids-Hanafi issue (In India Pakistan Bangladesh approx 95% Muslims follow Hanafi school in Jurisprudence. Salafis of indian subcontinents donot follow any of four Fiqh School so they are called in urdu Ghair Muqallids (Those who are not doing Taqleed).They are also known as  Ahle Hadith in Indian subcontinents)  started taking an ugly turn in India (It is still burning)................... brothers started attacking ...........Maulana Abul Hasan Ali Nadvi wrote detail letter to Abdullah Ibne Baaz Rahimullah chief Mufti of Saudi Arabia who was his close friend. If you read the letter and answer given by Abdullah Ibne Baaz Rahimullah you will understand that actual scholar in both groups are good people.........nuisance is created by so called scholars.....who by help of internet/you tube/Tv channels/print Media........wrongly projecting themselves as scholar........ who are with little knowledge and little Tawqa are confusing general Muslims and working for their group sub ideology.May Allah give Hidayat to all of us.  2. Mufti Shafi Usmani Rahimullh (the commentator of Maariful quaran) has written UMMAT E WAHDAT a heart touching book on the issue.

3. Maulana Yusuf Rahimullah in his last talk (titled AS UMMAT PANA /UMMATHOOD) at Bilal Park Maidan Lahore Pakistan has said same about Ummat e Whdat and the mischieves of Ibless.

Quran has clear command on it and all great scholars has strived for that but unfortunately we are not following their advice. 

.Tablighi Jamaat elders are of the view that work for Islam in different field are complimentary to each other. 
It is common part of dua of Tablighi Jamaat elders that whosoever is working for deen in different field ,May allah accept them all and making them means give Hidayat for Mankind (Their Urdu words…O,Allah deen ke liye jis jis line mein mehnat ho rahi hai unko qabool farma Ikhlas ata farma aur usko zarie bahane ke taur par qabul karke Insanon ki Hidayat ke Faisle Farma,).Recently also in english book Priceless Advice for all workers of deen which is collection of talk of Maulana Saad Sb of Bangle Wali Masjid Nizamuddin markaz Delhi has stressed and clarified it.It is very good book for all workers of deen in different field and not only tablighi worker. All daee will get benefit from this book.

Now Coming to the  you tube video of comments related to Tablighi jamaat by Dr zakir Naik Sb.................
This video is being propagated on you tube with different Titles subtitles by some people for vested interest.......Same video clip has been posted with 7-8 different headings....Some titles are entirely different from content...........just to make Propaganda against the work of Dawat o Tabligh.

A lady asked from Him in these words “Hamare yahan Islam ko ek naya shakal diya gaya hai jiska nam       tableegi Jamaat Hai……………………………...

The answer for this question was not based on truth .While answering this question Zakir Bhai unknowingly several time floated the rule set up by himself .

Dr..zakir Naik bhai violated the following rules while answering.

1.  He floated the rule laid by Quran e Pak that if something reaches to you first confirm it.Then spread it. (May Allah pardon him and all of us.)

2.  He claims that he is only muslim and not of any group but while answering it was not looking like that.He could not resist the group mentality/Polemic type of debate.

3.  His answer was away from truth. He has not done the required homework for answering this question.


If we analyse the question of lady We get............
1. The lady questioner was more aggressive than Dr.zakir naik.Her tone was like she is pushing........... outside the fold of Islam (Islam ko naya shakal........).May Allah pardon her and all of us.
2. The questioner was not knowing Tablighi Jamaat even remotely.
3.She is not at fault alone. Many of internet scholars and website article writer has not gone in Jamaat/ Has not seen work from close.They base their talk on information recieved from other that too with group mentality. 
What is the solution............

The Ideal solution is only one
Complete understanding of blessed work of Dawah and tabligh can only be achieved by going in the path of Allah.We should go in the path of Allah and should see work from close..............So I sincerly request 
1.The lady questioner (she will go with Husband/Mahram) and  Dr. zakir Naik Sb and all others should go in Jamaat........................
If still they find their questions/doubts not solved then they have a right to discuss it..........
1. To the Elders of the work at Nizamuddin
2. If they are not satisfied then they can express it for the sake of correction........... 
Those who are not anyway ready for going in Jamaat they can get some understanding (Never complete ) from this book.

COMING TO POINTS RAISED BY SISTER AND ANSWER BY BROTHER DR.ZAKIR NAIK

(I am of firm belief that Dr. zakir bhai did it unknowingly that’s why I am writing this.Because if someone is doing knowingly there is no use of any explanation because simply the person will say that 2+2 is =4 but I don’t believe,so no answer to these persons should be given.)

As he repeatedly say in his talks that he is not knowledgeable in all field but he is a student of comparative religion and it is his field. 

So he is really not knowing the truth on this particular issue of Tablighi Jamaat.

Let me present the raised question by the lady in the video.and the facts and truth related to this question.

Question 1.Whether 40 days or 3 day or 4 month is in Quran or Sahih Hadith or simply it is a bidah.

Answer: Quran and Hadith has two types of command
1.In which order and detail (How to do) both have defined like Prayer , Fasting,Zakat
2. There are certain commands in which order has been given but detail has not been defined. Broad principle have been laid down. You have to decide the finer detail under the ambit of Shariah.
Two main examples are........Knowledge seeking and Dawah and Tabligh work.
Quran has commanded Knowledge seeking but not prescribed what exactly system should be .......


Is there any Hadith is that 9 years is required for becoming Alim from an Islamic University.

Teaching Ilm through specified syllabus and class divisions in years and months, certificates and titles, all these things did not exist at time of Rasaulullah (s.a.w) in  Taleem. But these are not bidah.

It is a system by expert of the field and it is not bidat.

Dawah o Tabligh is a duty of this Ummah for which reason we are a selected nation. This 3 day and 40 day is just a system and a (Tarteeb) for management purpose as any other system.

Is it a Bidah ?????????? No, it is not a Bidah. It is simply a system developed by experts of the field.
As asked by brother zakir if Someone ask from zakir Bhai to bring  Quranic Ayats and Hadith for his methodology of Dawah through.....TV channels etc......... Can Dr. zakir Naik  bring any Quranic Ayats/ Hadith for TV channel/Video shows etc............As he is asking Quranic Ayats from other system of Dawah and Tabligh.

This 3 day and 40 day is just a system and a (Tarteeb) for management purpose as any other system.

As Sheikh Salih al Uthaiymeen has also clarified 40 days/3 days issue

With regard to limiting da’wah to three or four days, or to two or four or six months, or two years, there is no shar’i evidence for that. But they think that this has to do with organization. If a person goes out for three days, and knows that he is limited to these three days, he will focus his mind and forget about worldly matters. This is the matter of organization, and is not an act of worship or a matter of sharee’ah. 
.............you go out with them in order to purify yourself, there is nothing wrong with that. There are many people whom Allaah has guided at their hands.

 It is not anyway compulsory and rather it is routine that because of our other engagements most of the jamaat does not spend full 3 days. At some places even it is permanent (like some campuses where there is 5 day week) that Jamaat goes for 2 days only, at some institutions specially in madarsas it goes from Thursday Asar to Friday Magrib only. At Aligarh Muslim University, India where tartib is as follows : Jamaat goes on friday after juma they return on Saturday morning for attending classes and again go after classes till Sunday evening/ Monday morning.

(As for 40 days) again it is not mandatory I have gone in jamaat for 10 days, 13 days, there is nothing fixed, Sometimes brothers go in jamaat after giving competitive exam as they are waiting for results they come back after declaration of results for taking admission or attending classes, may be at 6,8,24,31…………………………. or whatsoever number of days. Work has an open door for all 24 hours 365 days. Anyone can check these facts.      

On the other hand I know brothers who give more than three days a month may be 6, 8 or 10 days in a month. Similarly more than 40 days in a year may be 2 months 3 months 4 months in a year.

     As for gusht (A Persian word) it is simply an individual mulaqat/meeting for muzakra on basis of this quran Ayah

51:55	But teach (thy Message) for teaching benefits the Believers.
	Wathakkir fa-inna alththikratanfaAAu almu/mineena

 that they do two times in a week at evening time

                For any system to run properly,for organizational set up some period has to be fixed like in our madarsa system they have fixed 6 yrs ,7yrs or 10 yrs and a syllabus for becoming an Alim..Is there any ayah from Quran or sahih hadith or from salf that an alim certificate needs this much period and this syllabus????????????

Regarding Fazail e Amaal.

Answer:

Against Fazail e Amaal allegation is.

 Issue of weak Ahadith. 

In Fazail e Amaal Authentic Ahadith from Bukhari and Muslim are also their but there are Weak Ahadith  also. 


WHY??????????????????????????????????????

Imam Bukhari R.A. and Great Majority of Imam/Muhaddethin(Hadith Scholar) has permitted and themselves have used of weak ahadith in Virutes and manners and encouragement for good. (Fazail e Amaal.). If you are calling someone for good say for Salat/ Saum/ to be good for parents/ neighbours you can use weak Hadith.

They not only Permite but also used weak Ahadith.

Imam Bukhari R.A. used weak Ahadith in his Hadith Book AL-ADABUL MUFRAD. And Shaykhul Islam’s Allama Ibne Taimiyyas book “Alkalimut-Tayyib” contains many weak Ahadeeth. Ibne Qayyim Rahimullah famous book Zadul Maad has weak Hadith. Imam Nawwi Riyazus Slaehin .............and on and on....

So Advertising and presenting Isolated case of Fazail e Amaal and weak Ahadith is for confusing general muslims who dont have detail knowledge on the Issue

Tablighi Jmaat is a work and effort.So all are free to join or not Join effort Tabligh. 

But Making Baseless allaegations with concealing the truth is not allowed in Islam and Islamic concept of freedom of expression does not allow it.

OUR OBSERVATION about Dr.zakir Naik

And REQUEST Appeal to Dr. Zakir Naik Bhai  
First Some Calrification 

1. This article should not be taken as  response of dr zakir naik criticism or mud slugging on zakir naik. Rather we appreciate his effort of Dawah among Non Muslims and do dua for Barkah in life of Dr. Zkair sb. 

2. Work for Dawah/Islam in different field are complimentary to each other. There should not be any comparison.

Actually co-operation is needed in people working in the different field of Dawah/Any other field of Islam.  They should co-operate each other on good and short comings should be pointed out in a way suggested for Nahi Anil Munkar by the Quran,Ahadith life of prophet and Salafus Salejhin.

May Allah give Ikhlas (Sincerity of intention to all Muslim and keep free from group mentaliry.)

2.We appreciate Dr.zakir naik efforts on defending front of islam and in the field of comparative religion and Pray to Allah to give Barkah in his life and understanding.

OUR OBSERVATION about Dr.zakir Naik
3.It is our personal observation that Dr Zakir Naik remain best in the field of comparative religion and answering on misconception about Islam.


But when he enters in the field of Islamic Jurisprudence/Ahadith knowledge he makes mistakes.



For Example....... In one of his talk he said.......


that Placing Hand on the chest is from Authentic Hadith. and rest all Positions are weak ............


But this was far from truth.


The Hadith for placing hand on chest from Wasil Ibne Hajar (R.A.) in Sahih Ibne Khuzaimah is weak(Zaeef) Hadith. Actually all the Ahadith for position of hand in prayer are weak.


Following is Scholary discussion Taken from the book Fiqhal Imam on the Issue...............................

 Ibne Qayyim al Jouzi r.a (the student of Imam Ibne Taimiyya R.A) has written in ZADUL MAAD that all the Ahadith for hand positions are Weak (Zaeef). 
So the point is placing hand
1.On the chest 
2.Below the chest and 
3.Below nevel
all are from hadith but all hadith are weak. 


This is the reason that different Imams Based on their Principles of derivation of rule has differed on the issue  and it is their Ijtahad and Islam has allowed it.

BUT ALL Scholars ARE AGREED THAT other RULINGs AND POSITIONs ARE also CORRECT...........Imam Shafaee opinion is of placing below chest but when he visited Imam Abu Haneefa Place prayed according to Hanafi way of placing below nevel.
This is acceptable disagreement
Hadith in Bukhari Shareef (9:133)


“If the Hakim made his Ijtihad or the extraction of the verdict from original sources of legislation and he reached the correct verdict he will get two rewards. And if he reached the wrong verdict he will only get one reward.” 


Other evidence for this acceptable disagreement in Islam


Comes from a Hadith reported by Imams Bukhari and Muslim, in which Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.)
ordered his companions after the battle of Al-Ahzaab
saying, “No one of you should pray Asr until you reach the village of Bani-Qurayzah (A Jewish tribe) .” While they were on their way, the time of Asr came. Some companions said we should not pray until we reach Bani-Qurayzah. Others said we should pray Asr now because the Prophet (S.A.W.) did not mean for us to leave the Asr prayer, but he wanted us to be in a hurry. So some of the companions prayed Asr , while others continued on until they reached Bani-Qurayzah after sunset. When they went back to the Prophet, they mentioned to him the story and he did not blame either one of them." This Hadith clearly shows us that the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) accepted both opinions, because if one of them were wrong then the Prophet would have expressed it at that time.


OUR SINCERE REQUEST........to


Dr. Zakir Naik Sb....................

(Same request in different words for dr zakir naik is also from Famous Daee Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui DB in his interview in Armughan and from Maulana Salman Nadvi DB at the ZAKIR NAIKS peace conference address in Mumbai, when he was called by dr zakir naik to address it.) 
1.Islamic Jurisprudence and Ahadith knowledge is very vast field itself  and chances of mistakes are too much.So please dont enter into it.


2. Whole Muslim Ummah appreciate Dr. zakir Naik Effort but when he enters in Jurisprudence (Hanafi,Shafaee,AHLE HADITH/Salafi etc........ issue) and goes against the established views of Quran Hadith interpretation , Surely some Muslims will oppose him.


3. This opposition will create confusion 


about Zkair Naik Arguements and competency and ability to derive from Quran And Ahadith  in the mind of Muslims/Non Muslims.


4. Already their are people who are waiting to catch his mistakes and defaming him that is apperant by many videos on you tube.........................Dr. zakir naik Sb should remain alert in his talk and should not give chance to people of vested interest.............To remain alert is a quality of Muslim described in Hadith.

4 This opposition may not harm Dr.zakir Naik but but the cause of Muslim Ummah about Dawah work will be at loss if his credibility is lost.
So zakir Bhai  .......please....... please.... please ........save the ummah from loss by not involving these issues  for the sake of Allah.
5.Only and only ummat/muslims will loss.Our duty to convey massage of Allah to all human being will loss.
