Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan Refutation of Tablighi Jamaat: A Reply discussion neutral analysis of points raised

Assalam O Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,

We came through some of the statements/Views attributed to Sheikh Salih Al Fauzan on Internet that has been projected as his criticism of Tablighi Jamaat.

Before answering some Clarification.
1. We respect all the Muslim and special respect for Ulema and Scholars,We follow ikram e Muslim.So this should not be regarded as reply to Shaikh,Rather a simple explanation of facts at ground.Maulana Inamul Hasan (R.A.)(died 1995) the former Amir of Tableeghi Jamaat has said.
"It is better that in case the objections and allegation if they are correct, rectify them .{No one is free from shortcomings} Whereas if they are wrong ,have patience (leave the matter to Allah)."

2. We dont know exactly what Sheikh Salih al Fauzan said because we have not got these article from any neutral source.

3.This answer is based on what has been circulated by some brothers/websites who donot hesitate to tell lie for maligning Tablighi Jamaat and their agenda is not any correction rather confusing general muslims to promote their group ideology.

But What we have got on internet respected sheikh has raised following Points.

Objection No 1.Going in the path of Allah refers to going out to fight.And not the kind of going like Tablighi Jamaat.It is not from Salfus Salehin.

Answer: Although going for fighting is one of the important aspect but it is not only way adopted by Salfus Salehin.
Sahaba went to many areas where no battle/Fight was there and just for the peacful spread of Islam. 
Islam spreaded to the following areas with the effort of Sahaba and Salfus Salehin without any battle/fight.

Indinesis, Malaysia, Southern part of India (kerala) where Shaba/Salaf reached in groups but no fight or battle but peaceful preaching only. 

It is reported that Sahaba also reached China/and parts of central Africa but no Battle was fought.So restricting Going in the path of Allah is broad and not only for fighting.
2.Imam Bukhari has mentioned Hadith on going for juma prayer in the chapter of jihad,(kitabul jihad page 194) Hafiz Ibne Hajar in Fathul Bari has classified so many like Amar Bilmmaroof nahi anil munkar ,seeking Ilm in Jihad.
Imam Nawwi has classified as many as 13 kind of jihad.No salaf has said that AYAT.......WALLAZINA JAHADU FINA LANAHDIYANNAHUM SUBULANA is for FIGHTING/KILLING. 

Objection no 2. Limitation of Dawah to number of days (3 days,40 days etc)

Answer:This answer has also been given by Shaikh Salih Uthmayeen Rahimullah also.He said that it is tarteeb.This is not any compulsory sharai ruling. 
As Sheikh Salih al Uthaiymeen has also clarified 40 days/3 days issue when matter came to him........
With regard to limiting da’wah to three or four days, or to two or four or six months, or two years, there is no shar’i evidence for that. But they think that this has to do with organization. If a person goes out for three days, and knows that he is limited to these three days, he will focus his mind and forget about worldly matters. This is the matter of organization, and is not an act of worship or a matter of sharee’ah. 
.............you go out with them in order to purify yourself, there is nothing wrong with that. There are many people whom Allaah has guided at their hands.

(for complete article click the linkIt is well known that these 3 day and 40 days are only a system and tarteeb,no one is claiming it to be compulsory. It gives benefit that person going will inform his family and will make arrangements for his family needs and Jobs. It is for making things easy as all tabligh worker has family and other commitments.

2. Muqami Amaal
After coming from path of Allah he has to dawah in his family,relatives,neighbours and his locality with Masjidwar Jamaat through,Mulaqat,mashwara,and gusht of Five Amaal.



Objections 3. About Knowledge requirement for Dawah with relation to tablighi Jamaat .

Answer:Following statment of Shaykh Muhammad bin Saalih al-`Uthaymeen Rahimullah As-Sahwatul-Islâmiyyah (pp.75-76) is best answer to describe the Position of Tablighi Jamaat and Knowledge issue.     

“When a person has knowledge and insight into that which he is calling to, then there is no difference between the one who has a great amount of knowledge, or a student of knowledge who has recently started in pursuit of knowledge or a lay person - as long as he has certain knowledge of the issue at hand. The Prophet sallallâhu ’alayhi wa sallam said: “Convey from me, even if it is one verse.” [al-Bukhaaree] So it is not a condition upon the dâee (the one calling) to attain a great amount of knowledge, but the condition is that one must have knowledge of what one is calling to.

This is followed by Tablighi Jamaat strictly and workers give Dawah for only those matter for which they have knowledge.It is strict Instruction from the Elders of Tabligh.
CASE OF TABLEEGHI JAMMAT IN THIS CONTEXT

 1. It emphasize that Dawat is formost for Daee,specially when we are lagging in Emaan and Amal e saliha by ourselves. It always stresses  that Dawat is for the strenghthing of daee.Correction of others by giving dawah  is an accessory objective. 

2. Their call is simple 
Have faith on Allah ,He is the only doer,No one else has any power.All kind of worship is only of Allah.Success is in the path of hazrat Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and their is no other way to be followed.
 Reminder for Amaal e Sleha the formost is Slat. etc

For this any Muslim can remind himself and all other Muslims.

3. They always  STRESS  that the participants who are non alim/not an scholar are to speak within 6 qualities,
( IMAN,SALAT, ILM O ZIKR.IKRAM E MUSLIM,IKHLAS E NIYAT,DAWAT E ILLALLAH)  which they learn in ta'leem, and the 6-quality discussion.  For MASAEL THEY exhort people to refer to Ulama (to learn)

4. So the participants who are not Alim/Scholar are not instructed to speak of whatever they wish.
 5. If someone / Tablighi Worker does like this it is fault on his part and Tabligh elders always prohibit it. You can inform it to Bangle wali Masjid Markan Nizamuddin, New Delhi, India. by writing a letter or visiting it.

It is being discussed under following Questions.
Question 1 Does Tablighi Jamaat Restrict Dawah to 3 days 40 Days etc. What is Dawah Programme of TJ while being at home other than Khurooj (Going Outside)?

Q 2. Whether it is proved from Sahaba that they left there home for peaceful Dawah other than for War in Jihad.

Q.3 What is this 3 days, 40 days and 4 Month.? What is Islamic Legal Status of developing a system for seeking knowledge and for Dawah work.

Q 4. What is the Practical difficulties if a Jamaat do not preplan and fix a time and all members are free to Return at any time goes outside and. How the system become easy with making some fixed time.

Q5 Is there Any flexibility in this system of 3 days 40 days.? Is it permissible to go in Jamaat for  10/11/20/23/29/32/…………etc number of days.

Q. While fixing time period as a system Is there any relation with Quran and Hadith with these numbers of 40 days and 4 month?

Q 6 How much Shaba Sacrificed for Islam?

Q 7. An open question for all of us ( Muslim Brothers and sisters)  How much we should sacrifice for deen? How much we are sacrificing.
Only he can give strenth.May Allah help us to be neutral and free from group mentality and to keep Islam first. May Allah give us taufeeq to tell truth in anger and happiness. May Allah save all muslims from evil of Nafs (Self ego). Only Allah can give the strength. Requesting for Dua.
