Madeena Munawwara Dawat ke Maqsad ka Bayan Deen ki Mehnat

Madeena monawwarah mein hazrat jee(R A) ka ek khetaab
(Bayaan)
(Moarrikha 3/October 1959)
Dawat ki Mehnat ka Maqsad
Us waqt saari dunya men musalmaan apni apni mosibaton se nikalne ki koshish kar rahe hain un ki koshishon ka rukh sahih hai ya ghalat, hamaari is mehnat ka maqsad ye hai ke saare musalmaanon ki koshish sahih ho ,ye apni mosibataon se nikal jayen ye mehnat saari dunya ke aetebaar se aisi hai jaisi ek chunti ki haisiyat ya lakhon ki namaaz men ek namaazi ki haisiyat –
Chunti ki Dua
lekin Allah ne ek chunti par bhi bataa diyaa ke wo kiya maamlaa karte hain-  hazrat moosaa alaihissalaam baarish ki duaa mange saari qaum ko lekar chale ,lekin raastaa hi se waapas aagaye aur farmaayaa ke ek chunti ne duaa maang lee aur uski duaa qubool ho gayee us chunti ne wo nauiyat ikhtiyar ki jo Allah ko pasand aagayee-

Agar Mehnat Allah ko Pasand A Gayi
isi tarah agar tumharee mehnat ki nauiyat Allah ko pasand aagayee to zaroori nahi  ke sab is kaam me laga jaayen tabhi inki moseebat door ho , balki sirf tumhaari mehnat par sab ki mosibat door ho jayegi , agar tumhaari mehnat Allah ko pasand aagayee .  isi tarah agar laakhon ki namaz men ek ekhlaas waala hoga to sab ki namaz qubool ho jayegi jo ek ko milegaa wo sab ko milega—
Tum poori ummat-e-mohammadya sallallahu alaihi wasallam  ke liye darwaazaa khulwa sakte ho , basharte ke tum qubool ho gaye aur agar tumhaari mehnat qubool ho gayee to Allah taalaa sab kuch is par denge.
Ek haji ne haj ke baad khawaab dekha ke do farishte aapas men ek doosre se kah rahe hain  ke allah taalaa ne eke k ke badle ek laakh ka haj qubool kia ,Sirf tumharaa jaanaa saare ilaaqon ke liye dafaa balaa kaa sabab ban sakta hai agar tumhaaraa jaanaa Allah ko pasand aajaaye -

Tabiat aur Nafs ka Chhodna
Is raaste mein insaan tabiyat ki cheez ko chhod kar jaata hai lekin tabiyat aur nafs ko nahin chhod sakta nafs jis tarah apni cheezon men lagaataa hai isi tarah doosri bhi apni airdee lagaaye beghair nahi rahegaa  nafs saath hai shaitaan saath khawaah kitni cheezen bhood kar jaayen ye donon saath hain -  aur yahi khatrah  ki baat hai – ab ye mujaahidah kaa kaam hai ke ham chaukune rahen aur in donon se bache rahen .
Agar mazdoori karni hai to subah se sham tak ghis ghis kar itnaa hi milega  jitnaa kaam karenge . lekin agar bahaanaa talaash kar rahe hain to ?  mojaahidah karna hoga nafs aur shaitaan ke fareb se bachnaa hogaa.

Allah Tala dene k liye Bahana Dhondhte hain
Masjid-e-nabwee sallallahu alaihi wasallam  ki taameer ke waqt turkon ne  elaan kiyaa  ke jo masjid men haath bhi lagaadega us ko poore din ki ujrat dee jaayegi  to log apne doodh peete bachche ko lekar aur unkaa haath lagwaa kar poore din ki mazdoori le  jaate the – ye to insaanon ki misaal hai – insaanon ko Allah paak se kiaya , Allah taalaa dunyaa chahe to un ke bahaane ke kiya kahne  , who mehnat ke waste mehnat nahin karate balki dene ke liye bahaanaa banaane ko mehnat karaa rahe hain -
Ummat ke saath khaas Mamla
ye ummat-e-Mohammadyaa sallallahu alaihi wasallam  ke saath khususi  mamla , hadees shareeef men aataa hai k 1 shakhs ne kuchh mazdooron ko zuhar tak kaam par lagaaya – unko unki mazdoori poori poori de di,  2re mazdooron ko zuhar se asar tak lagaa diya,  unko bhi itni hi mazdoori de dee, 3re  mazdooron ki asar se maghrib tak lagaaya , unko sab se ziydaadah ujrat dee – halanke unka  waqt bahut kam tha ,ye ummat-e-Mohammadyaa sallallahu alaihi wasallam hai.
Allah paak ham ko den eke liye bahaanaa banaane ko karaa rahe hain  karne ke liye nahi karaa rahe hain ,bas is kaam ko karne ki teen pahluon ki shubahat paida ho jaa ye – huzur aqdas sallallahu alaihi wasallam  ne saari namaaz padhee , taangon par warm ho gayaa – ham ne agar  pichhlee raat chaar  rikaat  bhi padh lee ,to huzur aqdas sallalaahu alaihi wasallam  se shubaahat ho gayee  aur saaree raat ki ibaadat kaa sawaab mil gayaa ,jab panch mint unki shubaahat huee.
Ye safar khudaa ki dahash walaa safar hai saare kaam karne waalon ke liye ye kaam ek bahaanaa hai ham se mehnat lenaa mahaz dene kaa ek bahaanaa hai –  ab is men zaroori hai ke  unko khush karden ham par bhi ye karam hai ke sahaabaa rizwanullahu ajamaeen kaa pachaaswaan hissa bhi kar len to who khush ho jayenge aur who denge jo sahaabaa ko diyaa  - ham ko Allah se faisle karaane hain jaise sulah-e-hadeebyaa men faisle hue the -   dekhne men ye ke ham dab gaye hamaari naak kat gayee lekin haqeeqat men woh fatah-e-mobeen thi kiyoun ke khudaa kee baat poori ho gayee aur is par Allah paak khush ho gaye  aur sahaabaa keraam(R A)    ne apni tabiyat par khawahish ke khilaaf qaabool paa liyaa  phir beghair zaahiree asbaab ke Allah paak ne oonche oonche sahaabaa(R A)  islaam mein daakhil kiyaa – hazrat umar wa ibnul aas(R A)   aur hazrat khaalid bin waleed(R A)   ke aane ke baad charwaahe ne bhi kahaa ke makka ki kunjiyaan hamaare haath men aagayeen.
Allah ke raasete mein nikalne ka tareeqa
Allah ke raaste me nikalnaa beghair tabiyat ke nahi hota , har moqaa par tabiyat chalegi bas isko dabaana hai kufr  ki ,  shikast ki , aslee cheez apni tabiyat ko dabaa jaane par qaadir ho jaaye sirf isee sifat ke saare kuffar  shikast khaa jaayenge.
Tabiyatien hazrat  khaalid(R A)   ko chaahti thin lekin unko maazool kar diyaa sahaaba(R A)   ko saari umr apni tabiyaton ko dabaanaa padaa hai jab tak woh aise rahe to ijtimaa baaqi baaqi rahaa aur doosraa ansar ghaalib ho gayaa to ijtimaa toot gayaa . khufyaa dushman andar se mashware dega aur tabiyat ko ubhaarega.
taa-at  aamaal-e-saalehaa ko unko tarteeb se karne kaa naam hai- taaqat woh banegi ke apni tabiyat ko dabaa kar cheez ko Allah ka hukm hai usko Karen Allah ko khush  karne waali cheez ye hai ke apni tabiyat ko dabaa kar hukm ki lain se kaam kiya jaaye – tum ummat-e-Mohammadyaa sallallaahu alaihi  wasallam ke imraaz aur pareshaaniyoun kaa ilaaj ho , basharte ke tabiyat ko dabaa kar chalo – aaj anqaa ye hai ke Allah ke deen ke buland hone ke liye apni tabiyat ko dabaa kar aapas men jud jaayein ham mein ye ikhlaas ho ke Allah kaa kaam aur deen kaa kaam saare aalam men chal jaaye tabiyat ko dabaa kar mashwaron se kaam kiyaa jaaye  - agar  mashwarah na kiya jaaye yaa mashwarah naa manaa jaaye tab bhi tabiyat ubhregi  hazrat  abu aiyoub ansaari(R A)   ke ameer  yazeed aur abd.ul-malik bane  to woh  deen  ke liye na nikle, phir saari umr rote rahe ke mujhe ameer se kiyaa lenaa tha,  main kiyoun Allah ke raaste me na gayaa ,  imam hasan(R A)   aur imam Husain (R A)  aur imam jaafar(R A)  sab ki sab yazeed ki imaarat me nikle aur abd-ul-malik  ki imaarat me phire hain.
Allah ke raaste mein nikalne ke faide
Jo Allah ke liye istemaal hone waalaa ban jaye aur apni tabiyat ko todne walla ban jaaye to us par Allah ki rahmaten aayengi jo unmein awwal no hoga to uski wajah se saari jamaat Allah ko piyaari hogi tum ye kaam karoge Allah taalaa doosre naqshon ko apni qudrat se badal denge.
Aaj musalmaanon se ye shuoor nikal gaya ke kis kaam mein hamari aafiyat hai  aur kis mein halaakat  Allah taalaa is shuoor ko badal denge agar tum iska sabab ban gaye to aakhirat mein huzur  aqdas sallallahu alaihi wasallam  ke khaas men tumhaaraa shumaar hogaa -  kiyoun ke jo log ummat ke fasaad ko door karne ke liye istemaal  honge unko huzur aqdas sallallahu alaihi wasallam  se mushaabihat ho jaayegi, jitnaa tum kar sakte ho agar itnaa kar lo to Allah taalaa uske darwaaze kholenge jo ham nahi kar sakte ,  waqt apna is tarah guzaaro ke Allah ko tumhaara  nikalnaa pasand aajaaye- madeenaa monawwarah se nikalna bahut qeemti hai.
Kaam kaa saaraa naqshaa jab qaaboo men aayega  jab saari jamaat ko majmooei taur se apni tabiyat dabaani aajaaye.
Ek baadshaah ka waaqiaa
Ek baadshaah apne  mahal me soyaa huaa tha – aadhi raat ke waqt uski aankh khulee aur dil men apne khazaanon ko dekhne ki khahish  paidaa huee , usi waqt uth kar chabhiyan lekar khazaane ko khol kar unhon ne jab sone  chaandi ,laal-o- jawaahar ko dekhaa jo chamak rahe the to dil men khiyaal aayaa ke ye khazaanaa to meri das(10)  pushton tak ke liye kaafi hai  baadshaah ki ye baat Allah ko pasand naa huee aur baadshaah ko dikhaane  ke liye balke poore insaanon ko samjhaane ke liye wazeer ki bhi aadhi raat ko aankh khulee aur khayaal huaa ke mai ne hisaab ke liye asar ke waqt khazaane ko kholaa tha  lekin yaad nai ke main ne darwaaze ko khulaa chhoda tha ya band kiya tha  usi waqt chabhiyan lekar jab khazaane ke paas aayaa to darwazah khulaa  hua tha andar jaaye beghair hi darwaaze ko band kiya –
Baadshaah khazaane ke andar hi band ho gayaa subah jab baadshaah darbaar ko nahi aayaa to wazeeron ne mahal ke andar paighaam bhejaa, lekin mahal se jawaab aayaa ke baadshaah aadhi raat ke waqt mahal se nikle hue hain  aur hamen koyee pataa hi nahi ke kahaan gaye hain-   bahr-e-haal bahut  dinon tak talaash kiyaa , magar koyee pataa nahi chalaa-  pandrah(15) bees(20) dinon ke baad jab khazaane ko khola to baadshaah murdah haalat men khazaane ke andar padaa hua milaa  aur saath ek parchaa  likhaa huaa padaa tha ke jo dunyaa ke sone chaandi  aur jawahiraat  ke saath dil lagaa letaa hai us kaa hashr mere jaisaa hogaa –  jaisaa ke meraa huaa—
Allah paak ki madad utaarne  ke liye 3 cheezein ikhtiyar karni hongi –
        1.           Taqwaa
        2.           sabr

Departing advice for Tablighi Jamaat by Maulana Yusuf at Ijtema Rawangi ki Baat Markaz Nizamuddin

Instructions and departing advices to Jamaat going in the path of Allah by
Maulana Muhammad Yusuf Rahimullah

At the concluding session of ijtema Maulana Yusuf Rahimullah used to give departing advice.
The following article is translation of his talk on the occasion of  Ijtema of Magra Haat (A suburb of Calcutta, India). This has been noted by Maulana Manzoor Nomani.).

After Khutbae Masnoona he said...
“ The Sun is Noorani (Illuminated) . It has illumination. It gives light to the earth and hence illuminates the earth. If the sun itself would have been dark and would have darkness instead of light then it would have spreaded the darkness.
You people have temprorily left your house and will be going near and far all around the world.  If you will have Noor (light ) then only you can illuminate others. If you will have darkness then darkness will spread.
That’s why your first effort should be on yourself to make yourself lightened. Noor is not inherently attached to a person rather it comes with the Aamal. That’s why you should do the noorani Aamaal so that nor should come in your life and it should spread from you.
At the same time you should refrain from those actions that bring darkness in yourself and spread it.

The Aamaal with Noor (Illuminated and bright actions)
The amaal with nor are those which is done for the pleasure of Allah and has been preached by Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi wasallam. These Aamaal has to be done so continuosly and permanently that you should get colored in those Aamaal.
Some of them are.
1.    To give dawah to mankind with Ikhlas for attainment of Emaan and Faith that is the core of the calls of Prophet and the most valuable sympathy for the mankind.
2.    The Salat and all other prayers that includes Zikr Tilawat Dua and Istaghfar.
3.    To get involve in seeking Ilm (Knowledge) specially those Ilm which relates the result of Akhirah and actions bearing effect on success in Akhirah.
4.    Good manners that were the Ikhlaq of Hazarat Muhammd sallallahu alaihi wasallam and that has been preached by him, the essence of these are …….To get involve in the service of creations of Allah and having good treatment with them for the pleasure of Allah.
These are those Noorani Aamaal, the continuous practice on these will enlighten you. So you should involve yourself into it.

Two Enemies
Please remember, You are temprorily leaving your home, your special circle but you are not leaving at home your Nafs and Shaytan. These two enemies on each step will be with you. Your bad habbits are also with you.   These all will try to divert you to those actions that darkens you and you will be away from the pleasure of Allah.

Plan to save yourself from Enemies.
You can save yourself from these enemies only if you keep yourself busy with the above mentioned Noorani Aamaal for whole 24 hours except the six-seven hours of sleep. Either you should be busy with calling to Allah, giving Dawah of Emaan and Aamaal, or you should be engaged with offering prayers, zikr o Tilawat or should be involved in Taleem o Taallum (teaching and learning) or should be in service of creation of Allah.
The only way to save yourself from Nafs and Shaytan is that you should not have any spare time other than the above mentioned Aamaal.

The Pleasure of Allah
All the above mentioned Aamaal will have any good effect only if these will be done only for the pleasure of Allah and for the sawab of Akhirah. May Allah forgive us if it will not be done with ikhlas then they may lead towards Hell. Famous Hadith of Abu Huraira Raziallahu Anhu narrate from the prophet
Narrated Abu Huraira (r.a.): I heard Allah's Messenger (s.a.w.s.) saying: (Muslim Shareef Hadith No 4688)

The first of the people to be judgend on the Day of Judgment will be a man who died as a martyr. He will be brought forth. Allah will make him know about His blessings (Which He had bestowed on him in the world). The man will acknowledge them. Then Allah will ask him: What did you do with them? He will say: I fought in Your way until I died as a martyr. Allah will remark: You are lying. You fought so that you may be called a brave warrior. Then orders will be passed against him. So he will be dragged along on his face and cast into Hell.

Second will be a man who studied (religious) knowledge. Then he taught it to others and recited the Qur'an. He will be brought (for judgment). Allah will remind him of His favours (showered on him in the world). He will admit them (having enjoyed them in his life). Then Allah will ask him: What did you do with them? He will reply: I acquired knowledge and imparted it and also recited the Qur'an for Your sake. Allah will observe: You have told a lie, for you got knowledge to be renowned as a scholar; and you recited the Qur'an to be marked as Qari (one who recites the Qur'an according to the rules). Then orders will be passed against him. So he will be dragged along on his face and thrown into Hell.

Third will be a man to whom Allah had made abundantly rich and granted him every kind of wealth. He will be brought for Judgment. Allah will let him know about His gifts conferred upon him in the world. He will recognize them. Then Allah will inquire: What did you with them? He will say: I left no way in which You like money to be spent without spending in it for Your sake. Allah will say:  You are lying, You did so to be described as generous (in the society); (It means you got your reward in the world according to your intention). Now you deserve nothing in the Hereafter except Hell). So orders will be passed against him and he will be dragged along on his face until he will be hurled into Hell.

(This Hadith is sound and reported by Muslim)

Just think how terrifying this hadith is. When abu Huraira used to narrate this hadith he used to cry very much and sometimes even became unconscious. When one Tabaee after listening it from abu huraira narrated to Hazrat Maawia raziallahu anhu, then hazrat maawia became so sad and cried so much that people became apprehensive of life. After some time he became normal and then he said. “Allah Taala has told the truth in The Holy Quran, and his prophet has conveyed the true message, that whosoever will seek the luxury and fame of this world by their Aamaal, we will give them every bit and piece of return in this world. And in Akhirat they will not get anything except the fire of the hell. And all their good deeds will become waste, and useless and of no value.
So, the noorani Aamaal will create noor only if they are done with Ikhlas only for the sake of Allah and Akhirah. That’s why on one hand you have to engage yourself in these Aamaal and at the same time to be careful about your intention.
If shaytan fails in removing someone from good deed then he infiltrate through the corruption in intention. If the action ordered by Allah is not done for the sake of Allah then it will not have connection with Allah, and they cannot become waseela to Allah for acceptance and his pleasure. That’s why you have to strive on both fronts.
One is the deep involvement in those Aamaal that please Allah and second to be careful about the intention. This means that with all actions only pleasure of Allah should be seeked. Alla success is in acceptance of Allah and his displeasure carries only failures.

The actual work to do in the path of Allah are four
I have already talked that during your stay in the path of Allah in jamaat you have keep yourself busy in four works.
The first Priority work
1.    The Dawah of Emaan Faith and the Aamaal related with it. For this Dawah you have avenue like Umoomi Gusht (Meeting in locality door to door) Khussosi Gusht (Going to meet a particular person in the locality). The manners and etiquettes will be told at the time of Gusht. You should listen to them carefully. When you will go out in market for giving Dawah, the shaytan will draw your attention towards the materialism of market places. So before going out you should pray to Allah to save yourself from the the Shar (ill effect) of your Nafs and Shaytan. May Allah give us taufeeq to do the work of dawah according to his pleasure? You should have full Faith on Allah, his greatness, his high and incomparable qualities, his name and attributes.  The gaze should be lower down. Your objective of pleasing Allah should be always in front of your eyes, like when a diseased person goes to hospital then the ill person and his relatives’ donot involve in buildings, and decoration Rather they only remain concerned about the treatment of the diseased.
In Khusoosi Gusht if the person to whom you have gone to meet is not interested at that time, you should wrap up the talk with intelligence and should arrange meeting at different time. And we should do dua for him. If he is free and ready to listen at that time, we should put complete Dawah and should also encourage him to spare some time for the Path of Allah.
In this khusoosi gusht if you are meeting an Aalim, religious scholar,
In Umoomi gusht it should be tried that people should gather in mosque and then a talk is arranged on Emaan Faith, Salat, Zikr of Allah, Ilm e deen, Akhlaq Islamic etiquettes, and deeni jad o jehad. There must be attempt to do Tashkeel for making Jamaat to go in the path of Allah. Don’t limit upto doing tashkeel rather those who have given their name for going in the path of Allah make arrangement for their proper Jamaat. And to the best of your ability you should ensure that their time in the path of Allah be utilized properly so that they could get full befit.
Rest of the brothers who are not ready to go in the path of Allah at this time should be encouraged for joining local gusht, local ijtema, Taleem at Masjid and at home, zikr and to be punctual for Salat. Proper arrangement should be made for all these.

Dua is the most important and soul of all effort of Dawah
When in connection with dawat all the above effort is complete then like a farmer who mix his seed in farm and then repose faith on Allah for crops, do dua to Allah with full attention that only Allah has control over the heart. Only Allah give taufeeq for Emaan and Aamal e saleha to whom he wants and does not give who he rejects.
The second Priority work
After Dawah the second important work is Taleem o Taallum (Learning seeking knowledge and Teaching through interdependent system). When you sit for taleem sit with respect, and your heart should feel the greatness of knowledge brought by prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam from Allah. There should be muzakra of the Fazail and you should also remember Masnoon Dua. (Dua reported by Prophet for different occasion)
The third Priority work
After Dawah and Taleem remaining time you should devout for Ibaadat, Offer the Nawafil, Recite The Holy Quran or do zikr of Allah.
The fourth Priority work
The fourth work is Service of slaves of Allah. (Service of creations of Allah will bring you closer to Allah)
One example
As during offering Salah a person alwys remain attentive and engaged either in Ruku Sajda or Qayam similarly a person in the path of Allah should remain attentive either to dawat, Taleem o Taallum, or zikr o ibaadat and service of creation of Allah.
So these four work will be done as main work during stay of the jamaat in the path of Allah so much so that these work should become an all time routine and become Mizaj.

These work will be done Ijtemai (collectively) and Infaradi (individually) both.
The Ijtemai means those programme that are done under a Nizam like
§  Dawat in Umoomi gusht and Khususi Gusht,
§  Taleem in the time prescribed,
§  offering Farz prayer with Jamaat (Takbeer e oola) Sunnah praryer before and after the Farz Prayer (as applicable),

§  Collective arrangement of stay and food etc.

Infaradee Aamal (Individual Aamal)
This will include Individual Dawah, Individual Taleem (seeking knowledge/learning), Individual Ibaadat, Individual Service. These individual work will be done in those hours where no Ijtamaee work is there. For example After lunch there is no collective Aamaal so this is a very good time for going to someone for Dawah, teaching learning of Dua, correction of Salat (Khushu Khuzu and Masael), offering Nafil Salat, or doing khidmat to anyone, these all will be counted in Infaradi Aamaal.

So these four work will be done as main objective work and we should devout in these work on full scale. Then these will bring Noor in their life and it will also spread to others.

Four Unavoidable Work (Basic necessities)

There are four unavoidable work. We have to engage in it but should not attend more than the requirement. These are
1.    Eating and drinking
2.    Sleeping
3.    Taking bath and nature calls
4.    Necessary talk with each other.
These are unavoidable necessities. We should give them as much time as required. Time should not be wasted other than requirement. For e.g normally six hour sleep is enough for a person.

Four thing to be abstained Fully.
Four things to abstain are
1.    Don’t do Sawal (asking something from anybody other than Allah like food, money etc), Rather you should not present your need to any human being in a way that he should give something. This is also a kind of Sawal. (Rather Jamaat will prepare its own food etc will not ask anything from local. Although if someone from local want to invite for food then it is different thing.)
2.    To save yourself from Ishraf (Ishraf can be defined as not telling something from tongue but in heart it is coming that locals should give us food etc, or any similar things.) It is sawal of heart in place of sawal of tongue.
3.    To save yourself from Israf and Fazool Kharchi [Spending money etc as immoderate (Lavis/wasteful/extravagant/unnecessary expenditure)]. This is an unwanted act all the time even being at home but in the path of Allah it affects other members of Jamaat also.
4.    You should not use anything without the prior permission of its owner.(even belongings of your fellow of jamaat). Sometimes it troubles the owner and islamically it is Haram. Although there is no harm in using it after taking permission from the owner.
These all were some important things necessary to practice and abide yourself in the path of Allah. Your day and night should be spent on these line.
You will travel and move on the earth of Allah with these Aamaal and will do effort on Allah creations and seek guidance from Allah for yourself, for ummat e Muslima, and for whole humanity. These all are your Amaal and your Wazeefa.

If you will do all this Allah who is Aarhamur Rahemeen will not keep you Mahroom (Unattended without acceptance).

JAZAKALLAH

Jaula and khurooj etc are not complete deen rather one of the means of its acquisition

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuhu

It was a regular feature in the times of shaikh maulana inamul hasan (rahmatullah alaih) and before him Shaikh Maulana Muhammad yusuf rahmatullah alaih, that normally between 11 AM and 12 noon, he would welcome the incoming jamaat, describe the demands, principles and etiquettes of the work to the outgoing jamaat and then bid them farewell after dua and musafa (handshake). During those sittings the gathering could listen to some very important and beneficial talks in brief sentences. A few sayings will now be quoted:

  • Allah (swt) likes a life full of deeds for his servants. If the deeds are animated in us, and we are governed by them, we shall become of those favoured by Him. He is not pleased with property, wealth and money, rather with good deeds. Once He is pleased we will be successful in this world and in the hereafter. There are four things, if we bring them in our life, pursuit of deen will become easy for us. They are taleem, tableegh, offering salah with congregation with the first takbir, and, Joula. Nowadays our practical life is broken. Ignorance of Allah's commandments impair us Not Allah. Neither He benefited if we perform deeds throughout our lives nor He is at a loss if we disobey throughout our lives. It is ones own benefit and loss. Allah has sent everyone to this world for a short while. If he (any person) tracks down the path to Hell, that will be his destination. If he moves on the path leading to Paradise, that will be his destination.
  • Religiousness does not mean the performance of one or two deeds only, rather following the deen all through the life and spending the entire life in compliance of Allah's commandments. Jaula, tableegh, taleem, three chilla etc are meant only to keep the path of deeds open for us, so that we may follow the commandments of Allah in our lives. Jaula and khurooj etc are not complete deen rather one of the means of its acquisition. Keep yourself busy in the four things mentioned, and protect yourselves from useless things. The love for the good deeds is proportionate to the avoidance of useless talks and deeds.
The real life is that of the hereafter while the present life is meant for its building up. The status in the eyes of Allah depends upon the efforts for it in this life. The life of this world is not meant for games, gambol and negligence, but rather for the preparation, concern and accumulation of the needs for there hereafter. For this purpose, we have to go out in the path of Allah, practice good deeds and get accustomed to them. After coming back from khurooj, we must also continue the good deeds for there hereafter along with our daily lives, businessess and other engagements.

(insight into dawah and its understanding & cognition)

May Allah help us all to act upon the Quran and sunnah and follow the advices of our ulema past and present, who advise us through the quran and sunnah. May he accept the humble efforts of us all. Ameen.

M Ilyas views on ummat revival, gaining Allah help and blessing for believers(Muslim) Success here and life hereafter

"Why are Muslims not granted rulership and leadership in the world?

Maulana ILYAS replied: "When we do not fulfill the commandments of Allah and refrain from the forbidden in our personal lives over which we have full control and there is no obstacle or compulsion, then how is it possible that we be entrusted with the governing of this world.

It is only through the decision of Allah that the believers may be granted government on the earth so that they may seek His pleasure and establish His laws in this world.

Now, when we are not doing this in the sphere of our own choice (in our individual lives), how can it be expected, when tomorrow we are given the reins of government. we shall do so?
Jannah (Paradise) is the reward of rights,

one must forgo ones' rights and comforts for the sake of Allah and bear difficulties in order to fulfill the rights of others (which also include the rights of Allah). The reward for this is Jannah.

The real zikr (remembrance) Of Allah
is that in whichever condition, place or activity a person finds himself in, he should be aware of and fulfill the relevant commandments of Allah connected therewith. I advise my friends with the same zikr putting greater emphasis on it.

People have given lesser importance to their servitude (to the Creator) than their servitude and service to man. The slaves and servants of man are generally fully devoted to their employers to do the work they consider as their duty. Under the employers' instruction they run to and fro, not even concerned about their meals - whatever little comes to hand is consumed.

Most of the time he will be indulging in his own desires and sometimes he takes out time to do some work for Allah. For example, he may perform salaat and give some money in charity or do some other religious work. He now believes that he has fulfilled his duty to his Creator. The real service to Allah is a continuous and fundamental one - a person should always be serving his Master.

It should only be a necessity and not the object to satisfy his thirst, hunger and other needs. (This does not mean that everyone should give up their means of livelihood but the object should be that whatever one engages in, should be for the sake of Allah and for serving His Deen. As far as one's eating and drinking is concerned, these should be of a mere incidental nature (by the way) just as an employee will be doing all this while his main interest will be to do his employer's work)

MUSLIMS SHOULD HAVE MERCY FOR NON MUSLIMS

One day in his dua he said: "0 Allah! On account of the unbelievers being Your creation, they deserve our compassion and mercy. Hence make us fulfil their rights while simultaneously make our hearts completely averse to their disbelief."

Man's nature inclines faster towards despair. This is so because when one becomes despondent, he no longer regards himself responsible for making efforts and therefore remains idle. Understand it well that this is the trap of the shaytaan and nafs. To become despondent on account of lack of means and resources is a sign that you have become worshippers of these resources and that your faith in the promise of Allah and His unseen power is but little. Depending entirely upon Allah and with courage rise to the occasion and Allah will prepare the means otherwise, what can man accomplish by himself? Effort and struggle according to our full capacity is a precondition.[4]
We should be fearful for our action for rejection from Allah

Every part and even the end of our actions should be accompanied by acknowledgement of its shortcomings and the fear of it being rejected. i.e. every good deed by nature should be done as best as possible but in the end it should be realised that Allah's rights could not be fulfilled as they ought to be. Moreover there should be fear and anxiety in the heart that because there may be shortcomings and corruption in our efforts, they may be rejected and thrown on our faces on the Day of Qiyamat. Thus on account of this apprehension, fear and anxiety. we should cry in front of Allah repeatedly seeking His forgiveness.

Remaining work for Dawah is to much than already done

The owner and editor of "Al Hilal", a daily newspaper in Urdu, Hafiz Ali Bahadur Khan B.A., visited Hazrat on one occasion just before his demise, who, in spite of his extreme weakness and inability, spoke to him for about half an hour. He was very much impressed by this discussion and after reaching Bombay, in a few editions wrote about his impressions of Maulana's personality and significance of the work in such a way which until now was not expected to be acknowledged by any editor or leader. I received that copy of "Al Hilal" from somewhere and having read Hafiz's article, I became very happy and intended to read it to Hazrat. I took that paper with me hoping that on some appropriate occasion, I may attend to him and having seen the paper in my hand, he might himself inquire what was in my hand. I would then reply and have the opportunity to read the article to him. Contrary to hope and expectations, Hazrat did not inquire about it. After a long time I could not restrain myself and said to him: "Hazrat! On one occasion, Hafiz Ali Bahadur from Bombay came here and all thanks to Allah, he was greatly impressed. He wrote a few articles concerning our work in which he acknowledged its greatness and importance from which it is manifest that he understood it well. If permitted, 1 would read some of it to you."
He replied: "Molvi Sahib! What is the use of speaking about that work which was accomplished. We must see how much is still left of the work that has to be done. We must look into the shortcoming of what has been done. To what extent were there deficiencies and sincerity and how far have we lacked in having the greatness of Allah's order in mind. How much have we failed to adopt the example of our Nabi (Sallallahu alqhi wasallam) and in our search into the manners of practice. Molvi Sahib! To be happy at looking back without taking stock bf the above is just like a traveller who becomes happy looking back at the distance covered. Looking back should only be for the purpose of finding out shortcomings and to acquire the way to remedy them in future and to see what has to be done in the future. Don't look back at one who has understood our work and acknowledged it. Look at how many hundreds or thousands there are to whom we have not delivered Allah's words as yet and as to how many there are who, in spite of being informed and having acknowledged our work, are not taking part because of the lack of effort on our part.[4]

Advice to Dawah workers

Our workers must remember well that if their da'wah (invitation) is not accepted and instead they are insulted. they should not become despondent and frustrated. On such an occasion they should remember that this was the sunnat (established way) and heritage of the Arnbiya (alayhiqus salaam), especially that of our Nabi Hazrat Muhammad Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.Where does everyone get the good fortune of being belittled and degraded in the path of Allah? And wherever they are welcomed and honoured, they should appreciate this and when people listen with enthusiasm to their talks it must be considered a favour from,Allah and at no time should they be indifferent to these favours. It should be considered a great favour to serve and teach these people even if they may be considered to be of the lower classes. In the Quran we are reminded of this in the ayat: He fumed and turned away, when the blind approached him for guidance. At the same time one must keep a check on the deception of one's own nafs. The nafs should not consider this acceptance as its own perfection. This may lead to the fitnah (corruption)_of hero worship. Therefore one should always be on one's guard.
It is indeed a wrong concept that when others accept our invitation, we take it to be our success and if they do not, we consider it to be our failure. To have this idea is absolutely wrong in this path. The acceptance or rejection of the audience is their act. How can we be successful or unsuccessful by the responses of our audience. Our success is in fulfilling our task. If the audience do not accept our message, it is their failure. Why should their rejection be regarded as our failure? People have erred by regarding hidayat (guidance) as their responsibility whereas this is really the work of Allah. Our duty is only to make effort to the best of our ability. To give guidance was not even the responsibility of the Ambiya (Alayhimus salaam). Of course we should take a lesson from the failure of people when they refuse to respond; that there is something lacking in our efforts and we should try to improve in the future and the same time increase our du'aas in quantity and quality.

ADVICE TO GO TO ULEMAFOR BENEFIT FROM THEM

Our workers in general, wherever they go, should make efforts to visit the righteous Ulema and pious persons. The intention should only be to benefit from them and not to invite them to this work. These people are well versed and have experienced the advantages of the Deeni work they are busy with, hence you will not be able to convince them in a wholesome way that this work is of greater benefit than their other Deeni engrossments. The outcome will be that they will not accept your explanation. Once they say "NO" it will be difficult to change this "NO" to "YES". Your talk will not be heard and it is possible that you yourself will become uncertain. Therefore meet them only to gain benefit from their auspicious company. In their locality every effort should be made to stick closely to the principles of the work. In this way it is hoped that the reports of the progress of your work will reach them and draw their attention. Thereafter, if they do pay attention, you should request them to patronise and supervise you and with due reverence and respect explain the work to them.

Letters from the merchants of Delhi should be sent with the jamaats which go to Saharanpur, Deoband, etc. for tabligh wherein the Ulama should be informed with utmost respect that these groups are being sent to make tabligh to the public.

The Ulama should be informed that their time is very precious and if they could spare some of their time to patronise these jamaats without sacrificing their time from their official duties or that of the students, they should do so. The students should only spend time under the supervision of their teachers. Without the surveillance of their teachers, students should not be allowed to take part in this work. The jamaats should also be instructed that if the UIarna do not pay full attention, they should not criticize the Ulama in their hearts but realise that the Ulama are doing more important work than them. They are busy in Deeni academic work at night also while others are sleeping in comfort. We should blame ourselves for their lack of attention because we did not visit them enough. They are paying more attention to those who have resolved to stay in their company for several years.

Each Muslim Should be respected

He then continued: Even to entertain a bad thought about another Muslim can be the cause of destruction, so to criticise the Ulama is extremely dangerous. Then again he said: The basis of our method of tabligh is to respect every Muslim and to honour the Ulama. Every Muslim. on account of Islam, should be respected, and the Ulama, on account of their knowledge, should be honoured. Then he said: Until now, our muballighs have not yet mastered ilm and zikr (knowledge and the remembrance of Allah) and this is of great concern to me. The only method is to go tp the possessors of ilm and zikr so that they may do tabligh under their patronage benefiting from their knowledge and company.

If one Muslim loves another for the sake of Allah or another Muslim loves him sincerely for the sake of Allah, then this love and good thought will be a great treasure in the hereafter. Those Muslims who have love for me, I hope that, Insha-Allah (if Allah wills), Allah will keep my faults covered in the hereafter. To have faith in our empty-handedness is success in itself. None will be successful because of his actions. Only by the Grace of Allah can success be acquired. Rasulullah (Sallalahu alayhi wa sallam) has said, "None will enter jannat through his actions. The Sahabah (Radhiaflahu anhum) asked, "Not even you, 0 Rasulullah!." He replied, "Not even me except that Allah covers me with His Mercy." After relating this Hadith, Maulana started crying and caused others to cry.

"If any one feels himself to be unfit for this work of tableegh, it does not mean that he must sit down. By no means, should this be so. In I fact he should make an even greater effort to take part and make others do the same. In some cases, by the continuous efforts of a few incompetent people, good reaches the competent people and flowers into full bloom and according to the Hadeeth, those incompetent people receive the full rewards. "Whoever invites to good will receive its rewards and the reward of those who act accordingly. And the one who introduces a good practice in Islam will have its reward and the reward of those who practice I accordingly." (Hadeeth) So he who is unfit must strive even more. Considering myself to be unfit, I am also engrossed in this work with the hope that by my efforts, the work will reach some competent person and then Allah will bestow upon me also those high rewards for this work.
