Are Salafis * against Following an Imam or Tablighi Jamaat: Myths Reality and solution

Assalam o Alaikum,

(Clarification No 1) 
I am writing on a unusual topic for this blog because of some emerging painful trends/perception among Muslims in India

with clarification that these are personal observations of the blogger and it is emphatically clarified that .............
Tablighi Jamaat has nothing to do with all these discussion. The Markaz Nizamuddin dont know anything like Tablighi Salafi Hanafi Shafaee Maliki Hanbali deobandi barelvi ahle hadith muqallid Ghair Muqallid etc. For them there is only one Ummah that is Muslim. Refer the last talk of Maulana Yusuf Rahimullah published as Ummathood delivered in Lahore Pakistan.

(*Who are being referred as Salafi here. This is the important Point to be understood before any thinking or understanding on all these topic.
In India a group of Muslim who keep their name as Ahle Hadith claim for themselves to be Salafi too. There are also known as Ghair Muqallid as they dont follow any of the four Imams of Ahle sunnat Wal Jamaat. These observation is about these  Ghair Muqallid Brothers and not about Salafis of Saudi Arab.)

Some Myths become so famous .......

Hazrat Maulana Abul Hasan Ali Nadvi Rahimullah in book Tasawwuf Kiya hai (What is Tasawwuf?) under the chapter of of Ahle Tasawwuf aur Deeni Jad o Jehad (The people of Tasawwuf and their contribution in effort of Islamic Dawah and Revival) has written

“There are many things in the world that because of some reason are accepted as such without any scrutiny scholarly research or counterview although they don’t have any factual and historical foundation. Even the people in literally circle and speakers start repeating it without going to facts. Among these famous but baseless matter is that Tasawwuf is an escape route from active Islamic social religious life and to go away from public Islamic life or to lead from the front.

But the life of the people of Tasawwuf, the historical facts , the academic research the intellectual understanding is totally against this propaganda”

A similar situation.....

 is with the tales/chitchat on internet that is slowly entering into public domain among Hanafi (Who are approx 95% of Indian Muslims Population) Muslims of India  [May be same perception in pakistan and bangladesh] 
that Salafis* /Ahle Hadith * are 

           Against  Four school of Fiqh (In India special reference is with Hanafi Fiqh) or the broader principles of ahle sunnat wal jamaat 

           Against Tasawwuf  (Science to attain Quality of Ihsan o Tazkiya)

           Against  the blessed effort of Dawat o Tabligh  being done by Tablighi Jamaat”

Background of this article 

From 4th of august I was on visits to my ancestral home for celebrating Id-ul fitr . In India among Muslim weeks after idul fitr is prime time for marriages. So I also attended marriages and some social gatherings.
Interacted with people of different background. Met the Ulemas and students from Formal madarsas, student form school and colleges, educated muslims and general muslim mass.

I was surprised and became bereaved after hearing some words/perception/observation from the people I interacted.

 Most of the people who were outspoken ................

•              Elite of the society well educated (doctors engineers professors students of colleges) were very vocal and interested in these talks 
•             General Muslims were not at all interested with these issues.Specially Muslims from villages were even not aware about all these.
• Some educated brothers were blaming these issues as major reason for the bad affairs of Muslim ummah.
• Some brothers were blantly blaming all the Ulemas for this situation among Muslims.
•          The active devoted worker of Tablighi Jamaat was silent and didnot want to involve on this issue although many have experience of such encounters.

•   Those outspoken were mainly religious inclined brothers but not actively attached with any movement.
• The Islamic scholars /Graduates of Madarsa responses 
• The Hanafi Ulemas who have passed some 10-15 years back are not much aware about issue raised by Ghair Muqallids.
• But Those who have passed the Aalim course in last 5 years were knowing all the details of issues raised by Ghair Muqallids. Not all but Many were knowing the correct answer to the doubts created by ghair muqallids. 
• One Aalim told that in his last class of Masters that was ceremonial the Ustad alerted them about this Fitnah and told them to face it with humbleness, being soft with these confused brothers, with good knowledge and with Ikhlas for the sake of Allah.
• The Ustads at Madarsa has warned that they should not simulate of fire brand Ghair Muqallids speaker while answering or replying or Policy of tit for Tat should not be adopted.
• Some has reported that Hanafi Ulemas were silent till recently but know they have decided to deal the situation scholarly but with kind humane and by Islamic way. 
•   

Some of their Observation...............

They said (I am trying to copy there observation. There may be some change of words in translation as the talk was in urdu)

• Ghair Muqallids are abusing Imam Abu Haneefah and other scholars of Hanafi Fiqh like anything (Nauzubillah)
• Some of Ghair Muqallids speakers are claiming that Fiqh is a dirty thing (He gave a very bad example about Fiqh) (Nauzubillah)
• Speakers are claiming that Imams of Tasawwuf were even worst than Mushriks. (Nauzubillah)
• One brother said their sole agenda is to oppose the work of Dawat o Tabligh.(Nauzubillah)
• One brother said they are opposing all the Dawah movement whatsoever e.g Tablighi Jamaat, Jamaat e Islami, Maulana Kaleem siddiqui etc.(Nauzubillah)

These Observations are very sad for all Muslims and well wishers of Muslim Ummat

We should be in grief and bereavement that this perception is developing among a large section of Muslims about certain Muslim Brothers. It is duty of all of us to remove these misunderstanding ..........
