Manners and Adaab of Sitting in Majlis/Meeting
1. None of you should make a man stand up from his place of sitting and then take his seat. Instead, he should spread out and make room (for everyone). (Bukhari, Muslim).
2. Jabir bin Samurah • satd: If we came to the gathering of Rasul ~ we would sit at the end ofthe gathering. (Abu Dawud).
3. Rasul ~ said: It is not allowed for a person to separate between two people except by their permission. (Abu Dawud).
4. Rasul:i said: If one of you stands from his place of sitting and then returns, he has the most right to that place. (Muslim).
5. Rasul Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam cursed the one who sat in the open space in the middle of a gathering. (Abu Dawud) .
