Tablighi Jamaat work at Ground witness account and Impression

EYE WITNESS ACCOUNT AND IMPRESSIONS OF TABLIGHI JAMAAT WORK AT GROUND
Written by Shaykh Abul Hasan Ali Nadvi Rahimullah
(Translated from his book ek Aham deeni dawat)

"To understand this Programme in a better way and to give some first hand glimpse the write visited first time in January 1940 (Zeeqada 1358). I met different people of Mewat who has gone in path and noted down their impression feeling and intuition.(Mushahidat O Tassurat.).

First Account
After Asr time our vehicle reached Gud Gaon Jama Mosque.(A TOWN IN MEWAT AREA). We were pleased to know that A Jamaat (Group of people for the above mentioned programme) has just reached there. Listening our arrival news some of them came upto our vehicle our luggage was taken out. They met us and did Hand shake Musafha with love  and affection.
We entered Jama Mosque and the scene that I saw can never forget, and its pleasure still getting in my heart.
There were about thirty brothers sitting in circle comprising people of different age. Two boys of thirteen and sixteen years, and elders as old as sixty years were there. And many in between.
Everyone was having very few article one bed sheet, one cotton blanket etc. it was there eighth day after leaving their native villages. At start they took some dry food for journey and some was left for home.
Thirty people of Jamaat were subdivided into three groups to go on three different routes of Gud Gaon town. Every ten brothers there was a responsible (Ameer).
My colleague respected Patwar Sb addressed these Jamaat and said “You should be grately thankful to Allah that he accepted you for this noble path. This path of Tabligh is actually the path of Prophet. Allah has opened his blessing on you and has opened this path that has been dead for a time being. Allah is rejuvenating this path on your Hand.
Then he asked the Ameer of Jamaat to tell remarks of his last weak in Jamaat. One Jamaat Ameer stood and plainly described it as follows.
“Last Friday there was Nuh Jalsa (Religious gathering). We departed from there. We arrived village chandeni and did effort on them called villagers for prayers, We corrected their Kalima and persuaded them for sparing some time locally for conveying the same to nearby villagers.
Then we took the tribal leader of one village to another, In village Basaee we persuded the locals. We passed and spent night in hills. All of us slept on rocks of the hill. There was no food for the morning breakfast we did Sabr and everyone was patient.
Then we proceeded to another village known as Piyaka. We persuaded many towards Mosque, corrected their Kalima, convinced them to start local effort of Tabligh. We also requested them to prepare Jamaat to go locally in nearby villages and to go Uttar Pardesh area also. Some brother made some excuses we said if the deen of Allah is not alive we will also be dead. This impressed them much.
We reached Pudhiaini and did effort there to bring back muslims towards deen. Then we went Chahalka there we did effort we also went in the service of  a local Pious Scholar.
Then we proceeded to Raeseena village, we went to the fields of Farmers and persuaded them for prayer, they had to take bath then they offered Zuhar Salat (Alhamdulillah). In the meantime we did their remaining field work of irrigation.

A second Jamaat Ameer narrated following routine of his Jamaat and this is more or less common Routine of Jamaat.

“We normally get up at 4 oclock morning, By the taufeeq of Allah we pray Tahajjud. Then till Fajr Slat we do some recitation or dhikr. After the Fajr salat we do learning and Recitation of the Holly Quran. Then our Muallim teaches us basic lessons. They teach us Salat, and basic Fiqh for related with Routine matters.
Then they read from books and we listen to it. Generally Hikayat Sahaba (Stories of Sahaba) and Fatuhussham is read. Before Salat we do Gusht (Meeting local muslims and calling then to prayer). After the Maghrib Prayer we do dhikr. At some places where the farmers return late from the field we talk with them after Isha Prayer.
About the Usool and Propagation Method what different people has said I am reproducing it here.
Our intention is that we have come in Jamaat for our own Islah (correction and reformation) and for others. We are in need of our own Islah. How can we do Islah of others. The Deen Islam is of Allah. It is his will to take work of his deen from whom he wants. What is our status?(Nothing at all) We are not having much knowledge or etiquettes. If Allah takes his work from us it is his blessing. We have a firm a believe that even if Makhlooq (people) does not listen the Khaliq (Allah) listen”
It has been constantly Reminded and emphasized to us that we have to respect all the Muslims. To do conveying (Tableegh) becoming soft and polite thinking ourself as of little less important. (Narmi and Tawazu). W have been asked to bear all types of Hardship and adverse responses.”
When we reach near destined village we first pray to Allah to save the villagers from our Shar and to save us from their Shar. We pray to give benefit from the good of us to the villagers and from good of villagers to us.
We pray to Allah to assimilate in them whatever good we are going to tell them. After reaching Mosque if it is not Makrooh time we recite two rikats Salat. Then we go out for conveying and pursuance (Tableegh).”
Zeeqadah 1360 (November 1941) There was a big Ijtema in Nooh Town of Gud Gaon district. With a rough estimate 15-20 Thousands people gathered there. In this Ijtema there were many poor who have come from 30-40 km on foot (having no money for journey.). This Jalsa (Urdu word commonly used for a gathering under a pandal with talk by different scholars) was more than a Jalsa. Rather it was more a Kinetic and live Reformative place.
It was having Prayer (Ibadat dhikr) punctuality of Salat with aspiration of even Nawafil (Non obligatory prayer), Caring for his duty, Servicing of others specially of Ulema, and live example of Islamic etiquettes, Tawazuu Simplicity Sadgi was visible.
It was an effective demonstration of Islamic way of Life.
After returning from Ijtema The writer of these line has expressed his impression in An Nadva magazine.(Zilhijja 1360H, December 1943) In it I persuaded the Elites and Scholars of Ummat to be closer to the effort and to get first hand information and academic and practical understanding of the work. For this to visit the centre of the Movement. I am ending this book on those lines.
“To all the elite and scholars of Ummat who have cognition and understanding of deen and have become fed up with the downward trend of Ummah. Also for those who consider the Prophetic way is only way for success and are in pain and remorseful with the irreligiousness of Ummah.
I sincerely request them to visit Basti Hazrat Nizamuddin Delhi India and meet Maulana Ilyas1 (This article was written in Maulana Ilyas life time. Now he ahs died but by grace of Allah the effort is going on).
They should spend some time with them and to seen the effort practically. They should see the structure of effort and get first hand information.

I am surprised that people take out time to visit the remains of forts and ruined palaces of the kings, and left over Domes etc. But there are only few to visit and observe the live sample of the early generations of Muslims and kinetic and live demonstration of Islam. In reality Maasart is a big barrier”

Maulana Yusuf keeping Example of Sahaba Scrifice in Dawah work

Maulana Yusuf kept the example of Sahaba in the sacrifice of deen
(This post has originally been written by a guest author and part of an upcoming book Insha Allah. All are welcome for pointing Academic/Grammatical mistakes )
Maulana Ilyas has died in 1944 . Maulana Yusuf the compiler of Encyclopedic book Hayatus Shaba was a great scholar of Seerat and Sahaba Life.

Maulana Yusuf Rahimullah increased the horizon of sacrifice on the pattern of Sahaba the Companions of prophet. He even used to exhalt that I don’t want days Rather I want people who are ready for life for the sake of deen.

He sent Jamaats without any time frame with giving them target of reverting back to Islam those Muslims who has left Islam in the turmoil of partition of India in the areas of Haryana and Punjab. In these areas there was an exodus of large number of Elite Muslims to pakistan and many of remaining Poor Muslims left Islam out of fear. Apart from fear another  reasons were also.

Maulana Yusuf used to send Jamaat criss crossing large part of India without time frame. He sent four jamaat from delhi to four corners of India.

In Feb 2005 at Meerut (U.P.,India) I personally got a chance to meet one brother who was part of Jamaat who went from Delhi to Calcutta en route of famous Grand Trunk Road (It has been renamed as Sher Shar Suri Path, after the name of Muslim king who made this Giant road built). His Jamaat reached Calcutta  in one year.

Tablighi Jamaat KARGUZARI work in oposition Usool for Worker

Below article is originally written by Hounorable Brother HAJI from Maslaysia.JAZAKALLAH O KHAIR.This is his personal narrative / Karguzari of his last year 40 days in  JUNE 2012. (Being presented with some editing).

A few word and request before KARGUZARI ..

This give a very important lesson to all of us........

1. How by following the Usool of Tabligh a person who is apparently looks Anti Tabligh may be made understand the work of tabligh .

2.Dont be disheartened if anyone is not supporting/ opposing Tabligh because of some misunderstanding.

Maulana Ilyas said

"When we meet any  alim or pious personality anywhere who does not support this work, please do not think bad of them. Rather, we must understand that the reality of this work has not been perfectly opened to them.....

3. Please remember that even Maulana Yusuf Rahimullah was initially not convinced about Tabligh work but when he understood the work .............What he sacrificed for Dawah every one Knows....and Allah spreaded the work all over the world utilising Maulana Yusuf.....

4.Allah again clarified to us that work is not dependent on Maulana Yusuf as ........he died prematurely keeping everyone groping.......But.....After his death Allah spreaded work even more.

That is why Hadhratji Maulana Inamul Hassan rahimahullah used to say time and again that we should not be worried by the disfavor and opposition because Allah is the Doer.

5. So it is Allah work He will take his work from whom he will want.

6.For many of us weakness is on our part that we donot follow advices of our elders in words and spirit.

7.May Allah give taufeeq to do dawah work with Ikhlas, istakhlas, Inabat, and ussols that our elders have extracted from Quran and hadith and they are priceless.

THE KARGUZARI STARTS

The Ulama' and the Effort of Dakwah and Tabligh: Part 1

Hadhrat Maulana Ilyas Dehlawi rahimahullah said, "Wherever a person doing the effort of dakwah and tabligh goes,  he should make attempt to visit the ulama (scholars of Deen) and the righteous and pious people, for spiritual benefit, instead of directly giving dakwah to them. These people are already busy engaging in religious matters, and certainly they are more experienced and religious. You will not be able to make them understand that this effort of dakwah and tabligh is more important and more useful than other efforts. There's a chance that  they will not agree or will not accept your word, and if they had said "No" then it is difficult to change it to "Yes". Consequently, the laymen who follow him might also shun the tabligh effort. And it is only likely to cause prejudicial effect on yourself. Thus, visit the ulama only with the intention to take spiritual benefits from them."

"Nevertheless, make effort in the area where an alim resides with tartib and usool. The good and positive effects of the effort will, hopefully, reach him and attract him to embrace this work. It follows that once he likes you and your effort, then request him to supervise this work. And with utmost manners and politeness, inform him about this work."

"When we meet any
alim or pious personality anywhere who does not support this work, please do not think bad of them. Rather, we must understand that the reality of this work has not been perfectly opened to them. We must realize that the ulama are special servants of Deen, thus, shaytaan is hostile to and seeks to harm them more as they are the arch-enemies of shaytaan (as thieves only steal valuable things). Whereas  the people who are busy with the worldly matters even feel heavy to leave their worldly affairs to take up any takaza, what more of the religious people who feel their affairs is nobly high? The wise men say, "The veils of light are thicker than the veils of darkness.""

With this precious advises in mind, we proceeded to Kelantan, the East-Coast state of Malaysia, on dakwah and tabligh journey for 40 days in June 2010. We were a 12-members jamaat including 7 university undergraduates, one of them a Somalian student.
95% of Kelantan's population are ethnic Malay, and under the Malaysian Constitution, all Malays are Muslims; therefore, Islam is the most influential religion in the state. The state is also known as 'Serambi Makkah' (the 'Antechamber of Makkah') and the Arabic honorific of the state is Darul Naim ("The Blissful Abode")..

Nonetheless, by applying the above mentioned
usool and tartib as stated by Hadhrat Maulana Ilyas Dehlawi rahimahullah, our effort during the khuruuj fiisabilillah in Kelantan turned out to be much easier. Whenever we knew of an alim happened to be residing at the "route" that we were staying, either he happened to also be an imam or chairman of the masjid, or living in the vicinity of the masjid, we made a point to personally talk to him, requesting him for a piece of advice to be given to us as a group in the masjid.  In all different routes and occasions, the ulama that we met were more than happy to pass down to us kind advice and words of approval and encouragement publicly in front of every worshipers. Thus, I believe the least effect of those ulama's blessing and consent had made our effort in blending and mixing with the local people turned out to be very smooth and and in harmony. That was the case until our route of tasykeel reached the district jame' masjid.

A few days prior, we were cautioned about the possibility of aggression and prejudice that might face us at .............masjid. In fact we were given a choice whether to stay at the masjid or just to skip and move on to another masjid on the list of routes that had been given to us earlier.

When we reached the masjid in the morning, we were greeted by a very pleasant soft-spoken elderly
aalim who kindly prepared some refreshments for us. We noticed that the main hall of the worshiping area was tightly locked. We then made mesywarah  with the elderly aalim whom we fondly called 'Baba', at the back corridor of the masjid which was quite spacious. According to him, for the past 7 years no jamaat was allowed to stay at the masjid for 'itikaaf even for one day. Many jamaats that had attempted to make effort of dakwah and tabligh at the masjid  had been thrown out at the order of the chief imam or the 'old imam' as they called it in Kelantan (the assistant imam is called 'young imam'). Before his appointment as old imam, the jame' masjid had been enlightened with the 5-aamal of masjid. Back then there were many brothers who participated in the local effort of dakwah and tabligh. However, shaytaan had managed to sow the seed of hatred and enmity among the local people. Consequently, the old imam ................................ somehow branded  those who participate in the effort of dakwah and tabligh ................. Since then, he had been launching fierce opposition against the local tablighi brothers until there was only Baba left who keeps on making the effort at the...........' masjid.. Ironically, Baba and the old imam attended the same pondok or  madrasah as students of Deen when they were young.

The
karguzari that we heard from Baba caused nausea in our stomach. I and Munawar were chosen to visit the old imam at his house. Kadrey, a fine young man who was studying at MARA University of Technology, gave us a bottle of honey he recently bought to be offered as a present to the imam.

We reached the chief imam's house at around 10.30 am. We were greeted by his son who politely invited us to wait for his father in the living room. The chief imam was flushed with rage the moment he saw us. The anger was visible on his face. "Ustadz, we are a jamaat from Kuala Lumpur arriving at your masjid," I spoke to him in Kelantanese dialect as I was born in the state. "No! No! You people are not allowed to stay at the masjid," he retorted with a snarl. I pretended not to hear him and decided that that instead of listening to his words of disapproval, I would quickly present my case of appeal.  "Ustadz, there are a number of university students travelling with us. They are from various universities and from different parts of the country - Kuala Lumpur, Sabah, Sarawak and also a Somali student. Now that they are on their semester break, they decided to come to Kelantan to learn Deen. We were told at the ..............Masjid in Kuala Lumpur that whenever we meet an aalim here, we should ask for Deeni advises from him. Now the students are waiting in the masjid. We ask for your time to give us special advises. It is not fit and proper for us to come here without obtaining any benefit from the ulama' here. Would you be able to spend your time, even if it is for a short time, perhaps after Dzuhur or after Asar?" By Allah, his rage and anger instantly lessened the moment he heard of our plead. "I would not be at the masjid for Asar," he said amid uneasy broken voice. "Perhaps after Dzuhur solah? Just for a short moment, Ustadz," I continued pleading. When I sensed hesitation on his part, I gestured at Munawar and said, "Oh! We bring honey as a gift for you." Munawar immediately handed the bottle of honey to him with his trademark smile. "Allright, for a short time after Dzuhur," the chief imam said to our relief and joy.

And Masha'Allah! We all sat waiting behind him as he performed nafil ba'diyah solah after Dzuhur. We gathered around him listening attentively to his advice and what a wonderful advice it was. At the end of his advice, he raised his hands to make du'a for us and we responded with "Aamin". Thereupon, we stayed in the.............. masjid for 3 days without any trouble and hindrance. Subhanallah!

And Baba's face was beaming with happiness when he heard our karguzari later.

It is not so creditable to work in the favourable and conducive environment as in the unfavourable and adverse conditions along with safeguarding our principles and trend. The ability and capability of a worker is best judged in such situations. That is why Hadhratji Maulana Inamul Hassan rahimahullah used to say time and again that we should not be worried by the disfavour and opposition because Allah is the Doer. When He comes to doing, even idols would divulge his oneness and the voice of truth would rise from the establishment of untruth.

Kerala Muslim Women Hijab Scarf purdah wearing percentage colleges

Assalam o Alaikum,
Kerala is southern state of India on the bank of Arab Sea. Islam reached here directly by Sahaba. It is said that there are graves of  many Sahaba in Kerala..
The Kerala Muslims, estimated at around 27% of the state’s population,
They are probably the most well educated Muslim community in India. They are on the top in India on many parameters like in Religious and Modern education financially well off.

They are many Medical Dental and Engineering colleges run by Minorities and have good number of Muslim Students.
Here I want to share a very Special feature of Kerala Muslim Women................

In Kerala Ladies in all walk of life and in all social Strata wear Hijab the Islamic Purdah.
Obviously Difficult to estimate what is the percentage
But it is nearly 95- 100 %.................. Hardly you will find any muslim lady without Head Scarf. Allahu Akbar

The Northern MALABAR districts of Mallapuram Calicut Kannur Kasargod and Waynad which has good number  of Muslim Population it can be easily observed................

Even in Medical /Dental /engineering Pharmacy, other professional colleges good number of students are Muslim Girls. There also percentage of girls with headscarves is nearly 95 -100 %.

(Some one may argue that although they wear scarf but percentage of women with full face covering is less.I agree that full face covering percentage is less. But we should appreciate whatever is good and should do effort and dua for more.In Northern states even in Institutions like Aligarh Muslim Universty and Jamea Millia Islamia Situation is not as good as Kerala with respect to Hijab. Percentage is very poor. 3 years back I visited these places of India Don't know current situation. May Allah give Hidayat to all of us)
May Allah accept us and give Taufeeq to obey all commands of Almighty Allah.

The great Daee of our time Maulana Umar Palanpuri Sacrifices for the Deen

Maulana Abdurrahman Patel mentioned this story:
Once, Maulana Umar Palanpuri  went, from his locality, to drop off a jamaa'at at Nizamuddin.

(The jamaa'ah was from his locality, they were going out through Nizamuddin, Maulana was just dropping them off).

On reaching there, the elders ordered him to also join the jamaa'at. So, he joined them and remained with them until they were returning back home.

But, before they returned, Maulana Umar recieved a letter from Nizamuddin, saying that a nearby location (forgot its name) was having its first ijtima, and he should go there. Thus, when the jamaa'at returned home, Maulana Umar continued to the ijtima.

When he returned from the ijtima to Nizamuddin, the elders told him that a jamaa'at was being formed to Diyaar al-Muqaddasa, and he was the best person to join the jamaa'at. So he went with that jamaa'at too, until their time ended.

He had went to drop off a jamaa'at to Nizamuddin but ended up spending a year and half in the Path of Allah !!

He showed such tolerance and balance in his discourses. He always encouraged Tablighis to show humility, work with the Ulama and asked non-Tablighis to demonstrate forbearance and the Ulama to overlook the excess of laypeople engaged in the effort of Tabligh. Above all, he worked for and lived for Islam.
This is the difference between orators who have a momentary effect on listeners and individuals who live and die for Almighty Allah.

Once a man asked Moulana Umer Sahab Palanpuri Rh, why you people spend so much money on ijtemas , if this money will contribute on any poor people they will atleast get something. So moulana replied very humbly why don't you stop those people who are shaving off their beard. If we collect one person's tool(for shaving off their beard) just imagine how much money people are wasting.
Thanking to nicknames ibnummabad muhammad shuaib and Insight who posted and taken with thanks http://www.sunniforum.com/forum/showthread.php?40717-Remembering-Maulana-Umar-Palanpuri/page2&highlight=karguzari

Who severly scolded a jamaat in gasht later devoted whole life for deen ALLAHU AKBAR

Assalamu-Alaikum,
I am so happy to read this thread. I have not meet karnal saab but my father had a life changing encounter which he remembers with much fondness and tears in his eyes.

I will relate it hear as a means of strengh to our imaan and an insight to what the Fiqr of Rasullullah Sallullahu Alaihi Wasallam does to a person whom is blessed with it.

Karnal Saabs jamaat came to his locality ( i will not mention the area, the reason will become clear below)

My father decided to join them and proceded for Umumee gush with them. They knocked on a certain door. The man who came out was filled with rage started chucking abuse and taunting the brothers. Karnal saab kept quiet and calm. the guy finished off by saying "now get out of my face". At the point Karnal saab with a warm smile said "My dear brother we do not want anything from you just a few minutes of your time". With this the guy let loose and struck Karnal saab with a blow to his head and karnal saab dropped to the ground. Now the other brothers who were with Karnal saab were no weaklings and could not tolerate this and grabbed the guy and were going to give him a taste of his own medicine and soon as they were about to land there first blow Karnal saab who was by no up shouted "stop". The brothers argued and struggled "let him go" insisted Karnal saab, "he has hit me and only I have the right to retaliate" Unwillingly the brothers let go as karnal saab came near and said "dear bother please forgive me, this is all my fault you may now go back inside. if you need anything we are in the mosque".

On the way back one of the brother asked him "why did you rebuke us we would have taught him a lesson and he was the one in the wrong".
His reply should be noted by all of us who claim love for Allah subuhanu watallah's deen and Rasullulah sallahu alaihi wa salam's example.

"My dear brother it is his favour upon us that he gave us the opportunity of being hit in Allah's path and fullfilling a sunnah of our respected elders who suffered for the sake of his deen, in realty we were not worthy of this bounty"

The jamaat as usual stayed in the localities masjid for three days and were due to depart after performing Jumaah salaat. After Jumaah as you would expect quiet a few people turned out to see the jamaat off. During the last hidayat talk before the jamaat prepared to leave. with mixed feeling as to what is going to happen next they see the same guy come inside the jamaat khana. they had mixed feelings as they did not know what his intent was. did he want another round or did he have a change of heart? As he approached the jamaat he eyes set on Karnal saab tears swelled he could not hold up his head upright any longer and came closer dropping his pace until he was directly opposite Karnals saabs and placed his sunken head on Karnals saabs lap and said:

"Mujee maaf khar doe" Please forgive me.

and continued I have not had a single second of peace of mind from the time I struck you. I can not eat, sleep or do i have any emotion in my heart for Allah sake please forgive me" by now every one is in tears and karnal saab grabs him and consols him saying "I had forgiven you from that very same time that day" "Allah wants to bring you closer to him that is why he has made you go through this other wise people do far worse things and Allah Subuhanahu does not check them for there is far worse in-store for them in the hereafter, Allah wants to bring you nearer to him".

May Allah instill in us the love of those who are near to him and Rasullullah sallallahu alaihi wasalam.

Here is the reason why I cannot mention the locality in which this took place, as the same brother is now amongst the elders there and has devoted his whole life to the cause of spreading the Deen of Allah and his Rasul sallallahu alaihi wasalam.

Wasallam

Colonel Ameeruddin sb Journey from England to India

A journey from England to India

Reproduce with thanks from http://www.sunniforum.com/forum/showthread.php?29194-A-diamond-unknown-to-muslims/page5

Once a jamath was going to England. Colonel Amiruddin sahab was amir of jamath and they were total of four. They went to embassy in India they got visa to England. But that time they need to take permit from all countries in between. When they asked about that in embassy they said, no problem we all are friends. Just in each country when they ask, you just say India and that country are friends they will leave u. They went to England saying every country is our friend.

Jamath went to England they did Tabligh Alhamdulilla and they were returning back. In one country they asked the permit and colonel sahab said “we are friends”. That officer said no we are not friends we are enemies. Then colonel sahab was astonished. The actual reason was while they were returning some two countries waged war on each other. And jamath was coming from enemy country so they were treated as enemies. The jamath was captured and put in prison.

The area was so cold and the snow was fallimg. Heaters in their prison were put off. The time for some namaz came and colonel sahab did wazu with cold water (military blood), but remaining 3 people did taimum. And colonel sahab was leading namaz. When he was reciting quran his voice was shivering and 10 min prayer was read for about half an hour. Since recitation of quran aloud was not possible because of cold and shivering.

Because of severe cold one of colleague of jamath fainted. Even the water there was so cold that it would still lead to illness. Colonel sahab ordered everyone to do zikr of Allah. And he sat near his face and started doing Zikr after sometime sweat was pouring through the faces and hands of people in jamath.(( those who really fear Allah and do Zikr its not a common thing for them )) . they touched the whole body of the fainted colleague with sweat so that his body may feel some warmth.

When this all was going on the soldier who was standing near the prison was seeing this but the jamath didn’t notice him. When colonel sahab saw him, he just shouted “jinns” and ran away from there leaving his machine gun there. Because its hard to believe a person getting sweat in that much cold. .(( those who really fear Allah and do Zikr its not a common thing for them ))

After some time the military came and they asked jamath to come out of prison. Everyone was fearing to come near them, some how they came and the jamath was taken away under the shadow of rifles. The rifles were kept pointing at the back and head of every person in jamath. Machine guns were pointed at them. They were taken to railway station. And they were forced into one train.

The people in jamath asked colonel sahab what to do next. He said pointing towards ******. if train goes that side then read kalima-e-Tauhid, because there is no guarantee that we will be alive. If the train goes towards **** we have some. Their faces changed colour when the train started moving towards ******. Colonel sahab said now my dear friends recite kalima, unless Allah(swt) show some miracle its hard for us to be alive. Since ****** was a communist country and the war was there between other Islamic country.

During journey train became slow at one station, colonel sahab saw through window some people were waving to him. He went near door, they shouted jumped down, jump down, jump down oh people of Allah, they were Africans and they too know what is going to happen infront. Colonel sahab called his colleagues and they all jumped down from moving train, leaving all their belongings in train. The people who called them were of jamath of Africa actually and they were also facing similar problem. From there they entered iran through ****. Since Hyderabad, India had good connections with Iran that time and even now.

When they went to embassy and asked for sending jamath to India back. The officer said ok but when he saw passport he rejected. Because on passport there was **** stamp. He said ur coming from our enemy country. Allah (swt) blessed them and a man came to embassy for his personal work. He came to colonel sahab and said what are doing here. Colonel sahab remembered him, since he used to go to that mans hotel in Hyderabad. (There are many Iranians in Hyderabad).

Colonel sahab said that because of some reasons we were enable to go to India. That man said I will help u and he spoke to officers and said that colonel sahab is a good man and friend of mine. And finally they were allowed to go back to India. Allah (swt) shows ways and help for those who strive in his path.

See friends how our elders faced hardship in spreading Islam, we should really learn lesson from their lifes and prepare ourselves for spreading islam facing any kind of hardship, inshallah.

May allah(swt) gives us ability to work forspreading islam.
Wassalamua’laikum.

(I heard this from colonel sahab some 2 years back, so I could have done some mistake in writing it, may Allah(swt) forgive me.)

Dawah and Tablighi effort and Result in Mewati Population

The Mewatis who had become half Mushrik

despite being called Muslims, who celebrated many of the Mushrikeen festivals, whose villages rarely had a mosque in them, who even used to kill their newborns; suddenly, little beacons of light sprung up in the same Mewati dwellings.

Mosques were built, religious schools and madaris mushroomed, the number of huffaz exceeded hundreds, and there was a good number of qualified `ulama.

The birth of the love of Imaan extinguished the following of kufr.

The customs and traditions that had come to be a way of life for them began to be eradicated.

An experienced Mewati explained this in a very clear manner when he was asked what was happening in his area; he said,

"I don't know anything else, what I do know is some things for which we used to strive and they did not happen, are happening on their own; some things which we tried to stop with battles and great endeavour and did not stop, are being stopped on their own."

Muslim downfall and Revival cry by maulana Ilyas and his wife concrn

Abul Hasan Ali Nadvi R.A. writes

about Maulana Ilyas

He used to sob and cry on the departure of the ummah from its deen.

Sometimes he used to writhe in pain, sigh, sob, and complain, "O Allah! What else should I do? I am not doing enough."

Sometimes he used to turn agonizingly on his bed, then get up and pace the room.

One night his wife at last asked him, "What is the matter?

Can you not sleep?" he answered,

"What can I tell you? If you get to know what I do then the waking ones will become two."

The result of this heart ache and dedication to his aim was that in just a few years, the ache that had bothered one breast caught fire in hundreds.

Allah u akbar, He only needs our concerns and effort.Allah will give immedeate results insh allah.

Outcome of Tablighi Jamaat/Result and Practical demonstration of of Jamaat ut Tabligh

The outcome of Tableegh

1.Anyone with a sound mind and fair thinking will accept that the work of Tableegh has been responsible, to a great extent, in the reformation that has taken place in the Muslim Ummah, all around the Muslim World in the last few decades.

Faisal Award Winner the great scholar Abul Hasan Ali Nadvi says........
"This is a reality which can be stated without any ambiguity and exaggeration, that in the Islamic world of today the most powerfull, useful and all-encompassing effort, is the struggle of
the Tablighi Jamaat whose center is situated at the Tablighi Markaz Nizamuddin, Dehli (India)"

Abdullah Ibne Baaz the grand Mufti

of Saudi Arabia

3.Speech dated 27/01/1407 A.H.
“You have to stop criticizing them, or do what they have done.”

Speech No. 325 dated 20/03/1406 A.H.

he learnt from trustworthy people who are impossible to lie, like the lecturers of Tawheed in the Islamic University (Al-Jami’a Al-Islamiya) and others, that the Tablighi group are patient in calling to Islam, being affectionate and steadfast.  Allah guided, thanks to them, many people who are astray.

2.Tableegh Jama’at has played a big role in the establishment of madrasas in the last few years.

3.Similarly, it has influenced many Muslim men and women in adapting their attire and appearance in accordance to sunnah. (COUNTLESS DOCTORS ENGINEERS EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD)

4.It acts as a deterrent for the Muslim youth from going to cinemas, night clubs, discothèques, raves and all other places of sin. (COUNTLESS BENEFITED)

5. Cricket players like Sa’eed Anver and pop singers like Junaid Jamshed, who were drowned in sin, have now become the means for spreading Islam.

6.Tabligh Jama’at plays an important role in preaching Islam to those who have even forgotten the kalimah, like those staying in the Kazakhistan, , etc. and the descendants of Arabs staying in South America. Many non Muslims have also accepted Islam through this effort.

7. Removing Grave worship and Bidats on the graves of Aulia Allah.
It is a truth in india that where tabligh work is strong grave worship is weak.....................Where tabligh is weak Grave worship and bidats are more...............countless PLACES AND FAMILIES ARE EXAMPLE..............Including Blogger family that changed from doing bidats on Aulia Allah .......and so many others Alhamdulillah Allah saved................Countless example are like this.

I will end the discussion with the words of Abdullah Ibne Baaz R.A “You have to stop criticizing them, or do what they have done.”

May Allah help all muslims on deen.

A daee from Syyedna Hasan RZ lineage from Italy

The following has been excerpted from speech by moulana Tariq jamil.

“This time when I went for Hajj, a young man had come there from Italy.

He was from the lineage of Sayyiduna Hasan (rz) and was a local of Maraqash (Morakko).

Out of necessity he had been living in Italy. At the age of twenty two he got all the Muslims in Italy moving.

Three hundred mosques have been built, when there had been none. And he had brought with him seventy young men to Hajj.

So immense is the power given by Allah to Muslims. He wasn’t an ‘Aalim [Scholar]. … But the way he brought there [in Italy] this effort to life, he became the means for the construction of three hundred mosques, and a means for thousands of young Muslims to make tawba [repentance].

So this is your work, your responsibility. I neither say, become a member of the Tablighi Jamat, nor am I inviting you to any other group.

[What I say is]: Me and you, all of us become the servants of Allah and His Messenger(s.a.s), and become those who spread to others this servitude. And in spreading it whatever hardships we may face, we bear for the Pleasure of Allah.

From al-Kawthar, the Beloved of Allah (swt), with his own hands, will give to drink. All sorrows and pain will leave. There will be a call there inshallah : “Where are my last Ummatis? When the Deen was being erased, they were the ones who embraced it and conveyed my message and spread it.””

Moulana Sayeed Ahmed Khan makki, work in Arab countries

Moulana Sayeed Ahmed Khan makki (rah): The zimmedar of Tabligh work in Arab countries.

...................... A simple man, great scholars say if we would not have seen him we would never understand the meaning of ikhlaq(respect to others).

We have seen him, he never talked quoting a person.

He would take other mistakes on him, where as today everyone tries to throw own mistakes on others.

He used to stay in arab but never used anything of Arab

(Principle of Tabligh: Never accept anything from others, Allah(swt) is there to give reward, all his clothes, turban, shoe even comb he used came from India. He followed this principle so strictly.

Many great arabs used to come to him, they loved him so much.

I have seen many arab jamaths, listen to their speeches they always remember him.. May Allah bless him and his family.

He was so sincere in Tabligh that once his small daughter died in the night (may allah be pleased with her). Next day morning he had to go in jamath, by fajar he did all tatfeen and went in jamath.

Can u imagine how hard it will be for a father to leave home in this condition. (as said by abed khan sahab)

My dear friends the hardship faced by these elders is the result that Allah (swt) blessed us. today islam is spreading all over the world.

Sheikh Jibraan: Ibne Taimiyya of present age

Sheik Jibraan : Arab Scholar

His tittle was Ibn Taimiyya of this age.

He heard so much against Tabligh that he thought to study about them.

But there was no literature about Tabligh.

So he decided to go in jamath for 10 days.

When alims of arab heard this they came to meet him and said that an alim like you should not go with these illiterate people.

Some great alims also stopped him from going.

When sheik saw this opposition now he decided firmly that I should go and study the work.

Later he went for 10 days and Allah(swt) blessed him with understanding.

When he came back and started doing work of Tabligh.

Some people kept false cases on him, and he was sent to prison.

When the judge announced his imprisonment he started to laugh. The judge asked him why do u laugh?.

He said I am laughing on my fate, Allah wants to begin my work of Tabligh from prison.

He was announced for 10 years imprisonment.

When he went to prison first he called all ulemas who were in prison (since many ulema who stood firm on islam and did not co-operate with government were sent to prison).

He presented work of Tabligh with all proofs and its necessity today. They all agreed with him.

They also started doing Tabligh in prison. In one year all the prisoners were following true islam with all prayers five times a day, fasting, crying in tahajuth namaz.

After some days sheik was called for trials. When ever he used to go to court all the prisoners would go to prayer, zikr, dua and they used to pray that sheik should not be released from prison. When he used to come back they used to shout Allahuakbar, Allahuakbar. This is the love Allah (swt) keeps in the hearts of others for those people who strive in the path of Allah.

Later after 5 years the then prince came and appologised sheik for keeping him in prison for false cases and took him away from prison

Hazrath Nayeemullah khan sahab Andhra Pardesh (Hyderabad)

Amir-e-mohtaram Hazrath Nayeemullah khan sahab :

...............................A very old man who cannot walk properly, you cannot understand his words unless you pay special attention(may Allah give barakath in his life).

But when he speaks (only in mashwara) people throw their ears to him, it looks as though every living thing present there are listening to his words. There is no mashwara I have seen in which he did not cry for muslim ummah. Sometimes even if the name of Allah comes or Prophet Mohammed (s.a.s), Quran or ummah he just cries of.
Really he loves all of us very much.

I have seen with my own eyes Akabir (elders) of Delhi markaz standing in line for musafa (shaking hands). when amir sahab came to markaz, I too was present that time. He never came in front of people and only do little nasihath. But it will be more powerful than a bayan of any great scholar. Really if you see him you will understand how a muslim should think about ummah.

Its just because of people like them who cry for ummah, this world is running or else Allah would have sent wrath on us for our deeds.

Fazl e karim Sb: from a DON life to Great caller of Emaan

...............He had a rowdy sheet (I fear uttering these words) on his name. Police always kept an eye on him. He was a big don (I fear uttering these words) in his area. It was his life before........................

Allah blessed him and on tashkeel he went in jamath. He knew the truth of life there and he repented from all his bad deeds. He later on became so pious and god fearing that elders say about him Moulana yousuf (rah) also a great scholar and god fearing man and amir of Tabligh used to ask him “ Fazlay karim I know Allah helps you, but I want to see Allah's help to you through my eyes, please show me once ”

He was a taxi driver and earned his living through it. And spent much in cause of Allah. He was a not an alim (scholar). I heard from elders one man asked him we are muslims we have emaan on Allah we don’t need to work on emaan. For this fazl e karim (rah) did 40 days speech only on emaan to him. After listening to speech that man said I didn’t really knew what emaan is till now.

Though he was not a scholar he was made Amir of Scholars. They used to be astonished when fazl e karim (rah) used to talk over emaan.

Why he was Amir of scholars we can understand from this !

Once Fazl e karim (rah) went to saharanpur to meet Zakariya (rah), Zakariya (rah) asked Fazl e karim (rah) to talk over emaan in the gathering and he sat infront of him. When Fazl e karim (rah) completed his speech Moulana Zakariya (rah) was crying and asked him “ please tell me do you think I have such emaan on Allah ” ( Allah hu akbar - Allah blessed this only to those people)

So every one call him with respect “ From don to Amir of Alim’s ”

I heard about him from many great people, I just couldn’t imagine people can change like him and have emaan like him. There is more to tell about him.

Moulana Jamal-ur-rahman from Hyderabad in china

A great scholar Moulana Jamal-ur-rahman from Hyderabad (brother of mufti Nawal-ur-rahman), went to china for the cause of Allah along with his friends, one of his friends explained how muslims are there in china.

They welcomed them affectionately. Where ever Moulana went along with his friends people used to stand beside roads for viewing them.

Translator said to Moulana that they were telling showing their small children

“ See muslims will be like this ”. They usually don’t see people with Sunnah dress.

When Moulana stayed at hotel they used to bring some eatables and keep there and go away they

could not talk since they don’t know language, but they use to simply grasp Moulana and his friends and cry.

Imagine friends how much respect they have for the people who work for the cause of Allah, though they don’t have good knowledge of Islam and everywhere there is communism.

Even in the country like china where communism is spread all over. Our elders have sacrificed for the cause of Allah.

Abed khan Sb Hyderabad intention at age of 16 for deen

.............He went to banglay wali masjid (markaz Delhi,India), he was sitting there when Moulana Yousuf (rah) called him and grasped him. The words said by Abed Khan sahab are recorded till today by many elders, he said

“ Amir, I have come here for the cause of Allah, I have come here to work for islam, give me permission from today I will not go to my home”. His age when he spoke like this was only 16 years (may Allah give barakath in his life).

I heard one of elders saying about him “ A boy tied Kaffan (cloth in which a dead body is kept) on his head at the age of 16, to die spreading Islam”.

Allah has given him such a blessing lakhs of people changed their lifes form his nasihath(good words).

At present his age is around 60 years (may Allah give barakath in his life).

His mother was so pious that once she forgot her shoe in drawing room, some people came to see Abed khan sahab, when they went away his mother was crying inside, he asked mother why are you crying ? she answered that a namaharam(one who is not a immediate relation to a women) has seen my shoe.

Today also there are some women who take this much care about their veil, so they are blessed with such children who change the world.

People of India especially people of Hyderabad like Abed khan very much, his way of speaking is distinguished from others, even the people who dont like tabligh (not knowing the truth behind it) call Abed khan sahab for speeches in their religious gathering.

Because he never talk showing others mistakes.

He was so much overwhelmed by people that elders of tabligh had to stop him from speeches and public gathering for about 8 or 10 years.

Because people were getting influenced by his personality and getting attracted towards him. And the work of tabligh is to call towards Allah and his prophet Mohammed (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), and not towards any person or any group.

Now he his above 60 years and ill (may Allah give barakath in his life), he cant even sit properly, but he did not forget the promise he has made at the age of sixteen. He still call people towards islam and people who don’t like to do tabligh also cannot stop crying in his speech. As soon as he completes the speech bodyguards surround him now as he is old and ill and people just run towards him. Even if president of India comes there will not be so rush. But the people who work for Allah, Allah gives them such position in this world and inshallah in the hereafter that just people see their status by opening their mouth.

Listen to his speech : http://www.islamibayanaat.com/HyderabadIjtema.htm

( In the following link u will find bayans of Abed khan sahab below of Hyderabad ijtema. Listen to a,b,c parts, it was raining heavily so he started dua, normally dua is done on last day. As soon as he started dua rain was stopping, as soon as he stopped dua and started speech rain was starting(part c). 10 to 12 lakh people witnessed rain playing on dua of Abed khan sahab, Allahuakbar (everything on this earth in done by Allah )

First Jamaat in London (England) Hafiz Patel Sb and karnal Amiruddin sb

When first jamath came to London.

There were hardly any mosques. The jamath was living in tents besides roads where as the temperature was so cold.Even snow was falling heavily. u can imagine people in tents with snow falling. But they stayed there and met muslims and taught them about Islam.
(colonel amir uddin was present in this jamath)

I heard Hafiz patel saheb of UK gave good support to jamaths but I did not see him.

When the first jamath was there at the same time the President of India Dr Zakir Hussain was also present there.

When he came to know about jamath he too gave some time to jamath and was present in first umoomi gusht (going to people for preaching islam).
He too was a active tabligh man.

I heard colonel amiruddin say : " when we went to london we use to sleep beside roads shivering in the path of Allah and now you people cant go even if there are heaters in mosque "

May Allah bless all of the muslims to strive in the path of Allah

Prof Sanaullah Khan starter of Dawah work in France

Once A professor went to france after a long time after returning back to India.

As soon as he landed in the airport it was prayer time, he went to mosque for prayer and was amazed to see a huge rush in the mosque.

He asked a man there why is there so much rush is there any meeting ? . The man answered no daily our mosque will be filled like this for every prayer.

And he started explaining we were ignorant of islam, but a man by name sanaullah (Professor Dr. Sanaullah Khan) came from India for his studies here and he was moved by seeing our lives. He started preaching islam here and today alhamdulillah almost all of us pray five times a day.

When professor heard this he started crying.

The man asked him why are you crying.

Another colleague of professor said that he himself is professor sanaullah.

When the French man heard this he too started crying and grasped professor and starting shouting “our guide to islam is here, our guide to islam is here ” .
